Final container immediately vs transplanting an auto

I only started growing less than a year ago but I have found this advice to be terrible.
Planting a seed in a big container(soil) directly after germination makes it a nightmare to water correctly.
I've tried both methods and transplanting never seems to cause any problems.
An easy way to destroy a full crop for a beginner.

Word! To each their own.

Can't blame a plant started in it's final container for underperforming when in fact: The human is underperforming lol.

Sounds like when you tried both methods you did one of them wrong. Learn how to water and start in final containers :blsmoke:

LOL, I take your point. I have these two currently(both seeds planted in final container), different strains. One of them is f**ked and the other is doing well.

Grower error doesn’t mean you have to switch methods. I have started mine in 5 gallon containers. The key is you don’t have to water until runoff early. Do a small circle around the outer edge of roots to saturate soil. Or water until runoff and come back in a week.
The circle thing works really good. I think u hit it on the head don't water until runoff firstly

That's exactly what I did but eventually ran into problems with one and not with the other. Having fungus gnat issues throughout which is really annoying. How do people grow 100 plants? Lol

Not too many people are doing soil with 100 plants without some kind of automated system.

My first week is always full of gnats. Yellow sticky traps are the key to controlling them.
