Question about fem seeds

So if I grow a plant from a feminized seed and then from stress ( I had a timer issue in flower and gave them 24hrs of light for almost a week 3weeks into flower) they turn hermaphrodite and throw seeds :( would those seeds be regular or feminized cos im sure I've heard somewhere they will be feminized

I put to much time, effort and money into my crop to risk it on bagseed.
But each to there own if you're happy that's what counts.
Why what's so bad about bagseed, same as breeder seed to me. I only get bananas and Hermies when I fuck up nothing to do with what seed I use.

You get seed that you know categorically has hermie traits, when you spend money on decent seeds you should get stable genes.

One of my best plants of The Sauce was a bag seed. Stressed it a bunch over 3yrs and it never hermed so don't know unless you try. I just run one or two along stable genetics so if I gotta toss them no big deal

There's no breeding program to eliminate it which is why you can fuck up any strain and see seeds. On the other hand there's not one plant that you can reliably create Hermies from.

Stable genetics dose not mean it won't herm, means it will grow true to its strain. Trait meant phenotypic which isn't the correct word for an unbreedable condition.

So are you saying there all equall, no phenos are more prone to hermie than others?

Equal in the genetic inheritence of this condition before divergent evolution occurred and untouched by speciation to be exact. No breeders can offer you any option which backs up what I am saying. Bag seed from the worst Herm doesn't make Hermie generations, you could really sting someone if this were possible.

Good breeders typically use genetics that are so good they require colloidal silver to get them to produce pollen. That way your getting genetics that are less prone to herm.

I've had plants and I've got away with a timer jammed on for 3 days mid crop with no problems, I've also had plants that have hermied for reasons unknown to me?

Maybe wrongly but I'd expect if I had a seed/s from each the hermie plant would be more prone?

Nature is not so equal, a million reasons for any minor variance, maybe a different species was first to colonize its roots meaning it wasn't as resistant to a minor plant pathogen the thrived in the soil during a brief temperature fluctuation for a week.

There's systems upon systems, still each plant has a fundamental base genetic code that remains unchanged. Why do identical twins not act the same when born, it looks equal like a pheno.

The first cross I ever made was from using pollen from nanners that showed up late in flower and was used to pollinate another strain that was just a few weeks into flower. None of the plants from those seeds ever hermied or even popped any nanners. A few nanners late in flower is different than a plant shooting balls and pistils at the same time.

As long as they are nanners and not actual hermies your seeds will be viable. I have grown plenty of seeds caused by nanners and grown nanner free plants.

Hermies seeds are definitely prone to giving hermie plants.
So have many others. Nothing wrong with nanner pollen. It's a method used for making feminized seeds.

There is a difference between a true hermaphrodite that exhibits both male and female traits "pistils and balls" and a female plant that throws a few nanners. There has been plenty of information available for years and many growers using nanner pollen for making seeds.

Making feminized seeds using nanners isn't anything to laugh about. It was being done before many were even growing by people that have been growing and breeding since the early 70's. It's not the same as pollen from actual balls that form on a true hermaphrodite. Many people don't understand the difference. You can use the pollen from the random nanners that form late in flower on many strains of cannabis if you let them flower long enough to make feminized seeds that are no more prone to hermaphroditism than feminized seeds made with pollen from a female plant reversed with STS or CS.

Many have read the article by Soma before but for those that haven't I've quoted a couple sections and linked to a previous rollitup thread that has the entire article.

Feminizing Seeds. The Rodelization Method

Written By Soma

"I named this new method "Rodelization," after a friend who helped me realize and make use of this way of creating female seeds. After growing crop after crop of the same plants in the same conditions, I noticed that if I flowered the plants 10-14 days longer than usual, they would develop male "bananas." A male banana is a very slight male flower on a female marijuana plant that is formed because of stress. Usually they do not let out any pollen early enough to make seeds, but they sometimes do. They are a built-in safety factor so that in case of severe conditions, the plant can make sure the species is furthered.

To me, a male banana is quite a beautiful thing. It has the potential of making all female seeds. Many growers out there have male-banana phobia. They see one and have heart palpitations, they want to cut down the entire crop, or at the very least take tweezers and pluck the little yellow emergency devices out. I call them "emergency devices" because they emerge at times of stress."

"You can also use this pollen to make new female crosses by cross-pollinating."
