I run a small compassion club for those who need it and cannot afford it, they get it for free. I do sell some to friends for $140 and ounce to cover the expenses of the grow and I now have a friend who does the day to day work for free. I recently quit smoking pot, so there's more for him and others, but covid put a serious crimp in demand and visits to the nursing home. I'm getting more serious about my practice now, preparing to teach again next summer and in my line of work the student comes before oneself, how else can you teach others first as the path to peace, happiness and an end to dukkha*? How else can one be selfless? We can feel this happiness and pleasure too, when we are compassionate and generous, wholesome states of mind.

*Dukkha, most often translated from the Pali as suffering or sorrow, but it also means "unsatisfaction", not so much dissatisfaction. There is a difference between happiness and pleasure, pleasure is ephemeral and does not last long, we must chase it and it most often has an external source. Happiness is different and it can be independent of external circumstances, we do need certain minimum conditions though, happiness like peace comes from within. It's very much more compilated than this, but those are the basics.
Ok, well I’ve had weed shipped to me from Canada before. Can I join?
Now this is how it should be.
Can you imagine how much money the postal service could make?

It’s great weed here. If you can afford $58 1/8ths and we only have medical. Which now, after smoking for 40 years, is the honest to God’s truth.
Wife just said to me too bad we can’t afford all you need because, as bad off as I am, I’m in a great mood today and can walk around the house and do a couple of things. Priceless
Sister just got her medical card. She used the half price deal for noobs to buy an eighth of Strawberry Diesel for 30 bucks. Not too bad. But Birds of a Feather and some of the other strains are not worth the $43 per eighth they are asking. (not that I ever spend money on weed, because I don't)

I saw a story on the local news where a Panama City Fl lawyer posted on Facebook he was going to use his brother's address in Georgia to request an absentee ballot. When ask about it, he said he was joking. But the election officials in the county his brother lives in said he did request a ballot. They are doing an investigation now.

He's going to jail and he's going to be disbarred.

I've been laughing over this idiot for three days now.

I like those socks btw.

If I have to buy it I buy Jack herer usually for $30 1/8th. Dude up the road has every strain popular these days for $300 an o. Fuck that. Wife killed 9 big girls accidentally so that’s why we’ve got to buy.

I can compress and ounce down with a vacuum sealer (now broken) into a letter rate envelope and mail it cheap. Mailing into the states would be another matter entirely! Christmas is coming, the presents are hanging to dry in the basement and Al is harvesting this morning, I can smell the fresh bud as I type up here in the office.

Another member sent me a care package from Canada as a taste test, lol, it passed :eyesmoke:

I need insurance to cover it.
I take about 25 prescriptions. Several dmards and they’re not cheap.
Humira is at the least, $5000 a pen and I used 2 a month.
I know they would much more prefer paying pennies for weed over my klonopin, trazodone, tizanidine and hydrocodone.
It’s always about the Benjamins, so you would think everyone could see it’s win-win all around.

I didn't see anything passed or even written up by the Republican controlled senate back in August.

Also still waiting to see if this bill says businesses can't be sued and if this is a Trump slush fund like the Republicans wanted.

House and Senate version in August 2020:

the liability portion is part of the big hold up in addition to short changing us..we get a pandemic that our government doesn't take care of; we lose our jobs; no food; no unemployment since August.

Thanks. I really wear Darn Tough for hiking a lot more than the toe socks, but they are so photogenic.

I grow Easty's Jack Herer X Shit/Skunk and several crosses from it. I really like it's lankness, as the heavy strains rot where I'm at. And the cold most likely killed a few of my little girls. We had four nights of frost and they are young and tender, so my over crowding problem may be solved.

Most people who have a medical need can grow these days and a grow tent makes apartment growing possible. In the states $20 (20 x17 watt 100 W equivalent of LED light bulbs, 2400K) can flower out 3/4 of a pound (320 watts) of pot every 70 days or so and another small veg area can provide the starting point and clones. It should meet the needs of most or at least save a lot of cash and the trim can be used for a variety of things. Mostly those with medical needs will grow, both to meet their exact needs with the right strain and to be able to afford it. Even if it is technically illegal in many places now, it is not enforced much, unless you are larger scale.

In Canada a typical prescription for 3 grams a day allows you to grow 5 plants per gram, so 15 plants! I gave up my prescription and never renewed when it became legal, I don't grow a lot and nobody is checking, if I wasn't giving so much away, four plants would be more than fine, too many in fact. I gave up smoking pot recently, but I still have a few brownies in the freezer and I'll have one at Christmas, though since I haven't been smoking I'll have to be careful, they are very strong brownies.

I physically am at the end of my abilities to be able to grow. I need a caregiver but backass Florida certainly won’t allow that.

I love edibles. I send my niece gummies when I make them with concentrates. lol I use 2-3 grams a batch.

Why quit thc?

Wait until you have a new federal government, though my vacuum sealer is busted and it costs a fortune to mail into the states at parcel rates. I order a $20 item from the states and pay $40 for the shipping, I mailed out an ounce about a year ago compressed as a letter for $3.00 to a Canadian address.

Mailing pot into the states might result in a visit from the Mounties, so no return addresses!

lol this was in something lightweight and silly.

I can’t wait for freedom. It’ll come one day.

At least I know I voted for the winner.

Hmmm, 5% tax? Just as long as people don't go to jail it's worth it. States need funding to reduce the tax burden on consumers otherwise a lot of it will stay underground as we've all seen.

It has to do with clearing my mind, I've been reading mindfulness by Joseph Goldstein and it's been inspiring me, he is a western master who went east over 40 years ago, came back, is most likely liberated IMHO, he writes very well in English and this work is a modern interpretation of the Tipiṭaka ("three baskets"), the most ancient written Buddhist works and closet to the original teachings of the Buddha. I've been practicing for over an hour a day and I'm starting to go into the "bag" again, mellowing out. The more ya practice the more you have remorse for fucking up and causing suffering, it's not a rule or commandment, just sound advice to reduce your own suffering as your mind becomes more sensitive to it's internal processes. If you look into this you will find lists of things, these are not rules, they are guides to peace and happiness, you discover their truth for yourself.
