Great resource here. Long time grower, first time poster. I’ve been reading up as much as I can.
I’ve been using DE HPS for a while with great results. A buddy gave me his DE Hood when he replaced it with a Gavita 1700pro. So I built out my grow for the additional DE, but now I have heat stress issues. OTOH, his Gavita is killing it, so I think it’s time to change things up.
Looking for bar style lights and the Meijui 650’s look like the way to go. But I have some questions before I pull the trigger.
1) Do the non-folding style require assembly? Are they easy to break down for storage?
2) I see 6 and 8 bar lights. They spec at the same light output and efficacy, but I would assume the 8 bar would be more efficient (more diodes) and therefore have slightly higher light output. Can anybody confirm?
3) 3000k or 3500k? I’m leaning toward 3000k, for no particular reason other than that’s the color spectrum I’m used to coming from HPS.
4) Is the driver 120 & 240v compatible?
TIA
