20 light reefer container grow

How's it going guys . I spend the past 4 months building out a 40 x 8 reefer shipping container into a grow room . I'm just about done and wanted to see what everyone thinks.

20 hlg 300 r spec
10 2x6 trays
36k btu mini split
Co2 gen

Ill be running gen hydros flora nutrients for the first run . keeping it simple . 8

Ill be growing two strains in here the first run , Grape head gelato and gelato cake
I just sprayed them yesterday and got a little curl.

The last few things I need to work on is plumbing the trays and setting up my feed system.

Love it! Brilliant using a reefer for it, although I wonder if that will be enough cooling when you are running all those lights, it does help that it is likely insulated at least somewhat.

Love this - a cannabis LP on Canada retrofits shipping containers like this for sale - $68,000 per unit, but turnkey. Have always wanted to see someone doing it themselves so thanks for the share! Would you mind sharing how much you are, or expect to be, into it for?

The insulation is meant to keep the heat out and cold in. These are mobile freezers. you can walk into one of these bad boys mid summer and it is noticeably cooler than the outside temp. We also have some regular (un insulated) containers and they will be 10+ degrees hotter than the outside temps. Reefers are the way to go.
Ive already ran thr lights full blast and 36 btus of ac has no problem colling the LEDs right down

Well thr unit itself was a family memebers so i got lucky with that .the lights ran me around $7,500 , ac was $2k , dehue was around $1k . i also got lucky that we have electricians in thr family so electrical plus hvac was only around $4k . the rest od thr grow equipment cost around $5k . it was right around $20,000 .

Well thr unit itself was a family memebers so i got lucky with that .the lights ran me around $7,500 , ac was $2k , dehue was around $1k . i also got lucky that we have electricians in thr family so electrical plus hvac was only around $4k . the rest od thr grow equipment cost around $5k . it was right around $20,000 .

Yeah, if it breaks down, you need a mechanic lol! I'm good with a lot of mechanical stuff, a bit of a fixit guy, but not a real mechanic that's for sure.

My very northern location and using LEDs actually allows for my setup to be entirely controlled with exhaust fans and a single dehum. No AC whatsoever.
It's much easier to go on Amazon and order a new fan, which I typically keep cheaper spare backups anyways, than wait for a mechanic or store a spare diesel lol!

But the insulatuon of reefers is a big sell even if I never used the cooler. My problem would most likely be cold and condensation for 70% of the year and the rest being temperate to pretty warm for a few weeks in the summer.

I'd still snag one up if I could I think.
