Will the Mars hydro FC 4800 be too much for a 4x4 grow, with 4 auto plants? Is that light to strong or is that even a thing?
It will be perfect for flowering a 4x4.Will the Mars hydro FC 4800 be too much for a 4x4 grow, with 4 auto plants? Is that light to strong or is that even a thing?
Two of the 260w xl qb v2 Rspec that’s an hlg led, you think it would cover a 4x4 to its full potential? Or the spider farmer sf 4000You’ll be right on the verge of under lit with that light in a 4x4 imo
least I would go in a 4x4 space would be 550w of LED.
it is perfect for 4ft by 4 ft. have you bought them? Will the Mars hydro FC 4800 be too much for a 4x4 grow, with 4 auto plants? Is that light to strong or is that even a thing?
Not yet. I’m actually leaning towards the fc 6500 with a 5x5 tent nowit is perfect for 4ft by 4 ft. have you bought them?
Dang 650 watts for a 5 x 5 rocking 120k lumens.............Not yet. I’m actually leaning towards the fc 6500 with a 5x5 tent now
what does a 900 watt electric bill look like ? I’m scared to find out when I go full bore on 600watt ?Dang 650 watts for a 5 x 5 rocking 120k lumens.............
I grew up using HID lighting and i would rock a 1000w light in my 4x4 that produced 140/150k lumens.
The fc 6500 umole output looks very nice and everyone online says they are super efficient on a umole/w basis and the manufacturer par map looks epic!
But 120k lumens and 651 watts for a 5x5 is too low for flower unless you add other types of spectral energy like supplemental UVa/uvb.
Just my 2 cents this light alone cannot properly light up a 5x5 for flower.(but maybe im wrong and maybe times have changed with led's?)
I would use around 900watts of led for a 5x5 too produce top shelf nug. But again i grew up on H.I.D lighting so maybe im wrong? but i doubt it.
I was thinking of adding more light but was waiting to see lolDang 650 watts for a 5 x 5 rocking 120k lumens.............

Honestly if i remember correctly my 1000w light during flower would add around 60 bucks at the end of the month too my electricity bill(not counting other equip) so a 600w will probably add like 30 or 40 bucks at the end of the month if its on 12 hours a day.what does a 900 watt electric bill look like ? Okay I was thinking hundreds lol I’m gonna go ahead and grab another light lol appreciate the inputHonestly if i remember correctly my 1000w light during flower would add around 60 bucks at the end of the month too my electricity bill(not counting other equip) so a 600w will probably add like 30 or 40 bucks at the end of the month if its on 12 hours a day.
In my area a kilowatt costs .16cents so electricity here is pretty cheap.
I was gonna add a uvb light from solacure. But I’m thinking about my numbers and questioning if 600 watts from 4 Mars hydro ts1000 will be sufficient. I’m sitting at 37.5watts per square foot my tent is 48”x48x80 . What do you think?Honestly if i was you id buy the fc 6500, BUy a 5x5 grow tent and add some supplemental UV spectra like a couple agromax pure uv t5 ho fixture.
Here is a quote
"UV grow lights for plants also help increase canopy penetration, allowing for more productive plants as well. ... Because UV photons start with even more energy (and a shorter wavelength), they pass through more leaves in the canopy before degrading to an energy level the plant can no longer use."
A fc 6500 will give you a solid yield in a 5x5 and added uv spectra will be the frosting on top of the cake, better end quality more thc content etc
Also uv will help increase yield a bit read this quoteOkay I was thinking hundreds lol I’m gonna go ahead and grab another light lol appreciate the input
the ts 1000 is the 150watt model right? If so 4 of them in a 4x4 would work amazing!I was gonna add a uvb light from solacure. So I’m good at 600 watts and that I should get the solacure uvb? Also what about uva? Also uv will help increase yield a bit read this quote
"Although UV light does not count toward PAR directly, it helps deliver more PAR-spectrum photons lower into the plant canopy. Plants are incredibly inefficient at capturing and converting PAR light into energy that they can use. Most plants only utilize 3-4% of the photons that hit each leaf. Some photons pass through leaves completely, while many others "bounce" off molecules in the leaf and are not successfully captured and used for photosynthesis. These "bouncing" photons typically lose a little bit of energy each time they bounce, which shifts their color more toward the red end of the spectrum, and towards a longer wavelength. For example, if a 660nm red photon bounces inside a leaf on its way through, it would lose a little energy and may become a 750nm infrared photon, and therefore no longer directly usable for photosynthesis (but still possibly helpful due to the Emerson Effect). A photon starting at the top of the canopy as a 440nm blue photon may degrade to a 520nm green photon on its first bounce, then to a 600nm orange, then to a 660nm red, giving it more chances to be successfully absorbed and utilized for photosynthesis on its way through multiple leaves in the plant canopy."
And adding 160 watts of supplemental uv is cheaper than adding 300 more watts of led and the uv will help increase your end quality! And yield a little bit
Okay cool was worried . Yeah they’re 150 wattsthe ts 1000 is the 150watt model right? If so 4 of them in a 4x4 would work amazing!
Solarcure has uvb and uva just no UVC and yes you are golden at 600wSo I’m good at 600 watts and that I should get the solacure uvb? Also what about uva?
Yup with 4 of those fixtures every corner of your tent will be perfectly lit up for the flowering phase.Okay cool was worried . Yeah they’re 150 watts
