I have been playing with this for a few weeks now. Would like some opinions from other owners on satisfaction, mods and flaws. As well as any insight on your methods and results from all pressers out there.

Good dabs from buds, hash and jar tech mining is under way.

I'll show you mine if you show yours.

Due to the ever shrinking net info available I'm asking here.

Thank you to all. 021.jpg016.jpg026.jpg003.jpg

I wouldn't use the pre-press homie. Look up bottle tek on YouTube, you'll need some rosin bags though. Yield will be way better.

Your flower rosin shouldnt be green
That's only till jar tech cook is done. Light yellow to green with amber to white crystals when done. The 250F decarb darkens it.

This is going to be fun.

Rosin or shatter are yellow. 017.jpg004.jpg

Just got the 6 ton DabPress and love it. It’s rosin is a beautiful golden amber color. So glad I didnt go with rosin bomb or nug smasher Lol
I've got some finish issues with this one. Fully functional. But aesthetically frustrating. And I also have the drip stand. Not worthwhile with this small a press.

It shouldn't be green at all though. Also why are you heating it past 250F isn't jar tech done under 200F
It is yellow to white with hash. And dry bud is dark. Higher humidity is lighter due to additional moisture. At least my results. Jar tech is decarbed at 250F. Cured or crystallized for 10 days or more at 100F in dark. Not sure what you are calling jar tech. Can you enlighten me. I'm learning. Results have been really good after the first few fails.

Hmm even most of the dry bud I press comes out yellow or slight tan. Why do people do this to their oil. Doesnt it just make it harder to handle and taste less

I can't say why. Maybe lack of info. But I get full bud flavor in a few days of cure with the wax I get. No loss. Improvement. And my amber buds press darker than milky ones.

The jar tech is diamonds and terps when done. Hard crystals of thc and tasty sauce.

Maybe I'll have to experiment with it on a small amount

I'd suggest starting with a100F cure and separation before trying the decarbed version. I'm seperating the terps for cutting rosin. And adding the crystals directly to food as seasoning. As well as dabbing. Seems a bit stronger than not decarbing first.

Could you please share material and settings? I only get that from bubble hash. Or moist buds. Thank you.
Flower rosin mainly, I don’t even trim tightly; but when I do I get a nicer color. I’d say they’re moist but not overly moist or too dry. I’ve definitely smashed so many bags that I’ve done too moist and the result is usually a crackle in the ball upon ignition. I like letting my nugs sit in a 62% RH range to keep yield optimum.
90u or 120u are usually my go to bags. 37u does pull some nice stuff as well and it’s worth a run with a strain if you have enough material. Hell, I even use the 160u bags from time to time to try the strains trichomes under that size. It’s all good smoke from my experience. Obviously the taste gets a little nicer under the lower screens.

Also, my temp settings usually sit around 180-190. Let me know if I missed anything. My high rant is ovah :D

Pretty much the same here. Only neglected overages from my outdoor. Was trash. Now training material. Too dry. Have to really squeeze and bump temps on that. I'm trying everything I could find and scratching some curiosity induced itches.

Sincere gratitude for the info.

Hope to see you around.

Anytime sir , always trying to learn more about rosin pressing when I can so I’m glad we share the same interests :) appreciate the chat.

If your material gets on the little dry side I’ve noticed that either freezing it for bubble hash or making dry sift and turning that into rosin is usually a little more bountiful than pressing dry nugs.

Anyhow, take care.
