Im fairly new to growing, i have done 2 outdoor and 2 indoor,one with 1000 watt hps other with 2000watt hps, great quality bud decent yield. I didnt do much training o. Them as i have now and learned great techniques. My question is i build a growtent in My garage ( on a budget) its 10'x9' with 8' ceiling. I have 4-1000 watt hps lights total, i put 3-1000watt hps down center of my room i plan on running 8 plants around 4 1/2'-5' with net trellis and supercropping and fill out the canopy is nice and level before i flip them. Any tips on getting a better yield, and is 3000 watt hps be enough to get me a good yield? I veg them 4 wks under 2000 watt hps and finished other room and started wk 5 of veg under 3000 watts., been , lolipipopped and larger water leafs cut off.

Down the center to me seems like a lot of wasted space to me. What’s your light footprint? Isn’t 1000w like easily 4x4? If you where to break your room in fourths could you hang a light in three of the quarters and use the empty as a staging/work area? Then you could go with like 12-14 plants? That’s just me trying to min/max always
Can you give me diagram of how you would set it up, how tall would you reccomend? I started with 8 clones and they are about 2- 1/2' now, i want to maximize my room, with what i have. Im trying to find my best yield for 8-12 plants that way i stay legal here in my state. Thanks.

Here’s a quick sketch. You’ll have to do the math on where to put your anchors to hang your lights. And find what the footprint of your lights. And make the adjustment so the edges somewhat over lap. I’m not sure your entrance into this area is. But that’s how I’d set mine up. With you avaialable coverage you’ll lose the least amount of grow space this way and have a little spot to move. Put your lights on adjustable hangers and move them up and down

Like the diagram but I would use atleast 4 1k lights. That area were there is no light is going to reduce the yield.

If your trying to eliminate using 4k watts maybe use 6 600w lights would be less then 4k watts and still be sufficient enough to cover the whole tent

Me too but he says he has 1 for the other prob starter area. And it could be easily wrapped with a few feet of panda film.

I would recommend using 4 in that room. But I was thinking you needed to light another area as well. So I tried to stay in your confines. If you could score another couple cheaper lights for a veg room you’d be in business

Im actually looking to buy 2-t5 i believe 4' 6 bulb, i havent seen them my buddy has them, im planning putting those in veg room. I have clones started so i have time before i have put in veg so hope to check them out soon.

If you have the lights to go perpetual in a clone and veg room, then I’d throw all your hps lights in your 10x9 and grow many plants
Yea thats what i want is to go perpetual , i finally got a 2nd room built just trying find my best design with what i have for best yields i can get. Thanks for help!
