Its all I use actually. This is what I used on the 3 in the comparison thread.looks like promix essentially , give it a whirl
Looks like good stuff. I don't mix coco and peat, but a lot of people do. I like that it has pumice instead of perlite. That's kinda impressive. I still might add more aeration though depending on what it's actually like. Here's what I have been using. Outside of making my own soil which is just not my cup of tea. If you could use this would you?

Sorry about the dirt. Had used for transplant then it rained.
So yea. Thoughts?
Aeration has been good tbh. In flower those 3 in the comparison thread needed water every 2 days or so. When I pulled the root balls the roots were perfect.Looks like good stuff. Well then I say it's good to go. It's kinda a shame you're pouring chemicals on it though, lol. I'd want to reuse that stuff.Aeration has been good tbh. In flower those 3 in the comparison thread needed water every 2 days or so. When I pulled the root balls the roots were perfect.
I was actually considering not doing that this time around. I recognize its damn near a living soil. My problem is I have never grown like that before. So I'd need guidance on how to go about it.Well then I say it's good to go. It's kinda a shame you're pouring chemicals on it though, lol. I'd want to reuse that stuff.
There's lots of ways to do it. I started using Earth Juice. I kinda followed this guys Final Earth Juice Schedule, but I gave my plants a little less since I was using soil, and he uses ProMix. I made teas the whole time with it. And every time I would throw a handful of EWC into the tea and let it bubble for 36 hours or so. It was the best tasting weed I've ever grown.I was actually considering not doing that this time around. I recognize its damn near a living soil. My problem is I have never grown like that before. Is that all il need right through flower?just look for standard amendments.....what you put up as a soil has the amendment you need and prolly more.....that why I suggested you mix that with the soil you already have.....
I would pickup some more of those castings as a topper though.....js
I haven't used dry nutes. I have only used bottled nutes. Thats what I had stated above. So I don't know if there are dry nutes that can cause issues. Consider me a newbie on them.Dry nutes do not kill beneficial microbes. Doesn’t happen. What makes you think you’re killing them? A granule of potassium phosphate is the same whether it came out of a bottle or a chicken’s ass.
From my understanding fox farms trio, outside of big bloom which is organic. Grow big, and tiger bloom are destructive to the microbes.Liquid nutes don’t kill beneficials. Neither does chlorine or chloramine. Further just recharge during veg with Mykos WP or Great White.
Ok. Thank you. This helps clear some stuff up for me.For your first time I would go with some kind of granular all-in-one dry fertilizer mix. Something with a Grow recipe and a Bloom recipe. Then some Earth Worm Castings to layer on top of that, if you wanted.
There are a bunch of different brands.
Dr Earth "All Purpose" for grow and "Flower Girl" for bloom
Happy Frog "All Purpose" and "Fruit and Flower"
Roots Organic "Uprising Grow" and "Uprising Bloom"
Are all pretty easy to find
A half a cup of grow and two cup or 1.5 cup doses of flower per plant would probably be all you need start to finish. And the soil you're using looks pretty loaded, so if you're not vegging super long you might not even need to use the "grow" stuff at all.
the castings provide food and nitrogen to the soil...only...or at least I think. If you got good soil that works you honestly should need any nutes. the only think I would give as far as advice....is after every grow, re-amend the soil....and mixIs that all il need right through flower?
As I said I have only used bottled nutes. So it comes down to different bottles at different times for me. I know the NPK of my nutes however I wouldn't begin to know the slightest of how to get those values from castings.
