I've got two cats myself, the lads as I call them, Sunny Jim who is always dressed for diner in a tux and a cool cat and spotty, who is neurotic and who I call my dog spot, he's got a good set of lungs and uses them! Spotty needs snuggles every day and sometime more, he's a good snuggle buddy though.

Just watched Joe's speech and was impressed, he just killed Trump from the podium and took on the mantle of power. There was iron wrapped in a soft velvet glove and he humiliated Donald very badly without even trying. He utterly destroyed Trump's efforts to steal the election or claim fraud and you could almost feel him draw the majority of the country to him and the soft edges of the Trump's base melt. He had a sore throat but his message was clear and unambiguous, he wants to calm the fears of Trumps base and allow some of them to evolve. The proud boy types are now targets, not his, but those he will appoint and the people they will hire. There are gonna be a lot of state and federal prosecutions for death threats in the new year and I don't think the judges will go easy on them either.

Once some of those 74 million have had time to cool off and introspect some of them will fall away, not too many, but enough. Mitch won't recognize him as president elect until it's "official" on Jan 6th, just after the Georgia election, hopefully he will be the minority leader after that. Donald will go ape shit on the republicans when he realizes they fucked him, though after the kick in the nuts Joe gave him tonight, he might start tweeting and freaking. Who is gonna be at Mar Logo and who is gonna be at the inauguration will be the dividing line that will fracture the republicans. If Nancy humiliates the house members who signed on before their oaths and even delays some of the ones in the swing states until after the inauguration pending investigation etc.

Unity is the message, and stomping on those who won't play ball will be the theme IMHO.

Awe, that’s so awesome. Your cats sound so cute with great personalities just like you . I love cats.
Here are the kittens that the Biden’s will select from for their new Cattibenet. The mom is a Siamese stray that was found in a DC park pregnant and taken into the shelter.

I'm sure a few TVs were smashed by hurled beer bottles...

Hate consumes the hater eventually, look at Trump. An inability to move on from being butthurt is a sign of deeper issues, the more trouble getting over it, the bigger the problem.

he seems to be more relaxed today.
Joe will be POTUS and Joe apprehends the danger, don't let the nice old man fool you, he is also wise. How do I know? Because he is compassionate, intelligent, experienced and also not naive, it will not be one man rule, but administration by team work and every one of them has witnessed what you have. Many are former Obama people and they have had four years to think of their errors, so has Obama and these are the kinds of people who learn from their mistakes. Joe is speaking softly, but his AG will swing the big stick, if the senate can't do it for him with big hearings and national commissions etc, the large scale investigations and hearings that precede major reforms. Winning Georgia will mean electoral reform with HR1 on steroids and the removal of many the republicans electoral advantages. Some conservative justices on the SCOTUS have learned from their errors as well and they too have witnessed these events and know what they mean.

Mitch works for the rich, cut off the supply of cash from them and they will start working for those who elected them. This wouldn't be about retribution or revenge, but of national survival, if that takes destroying the republicans as a political force in America that's what will be done. Joe takes his oath seriously and so do his people, he wanted to be president most of his adult life and has been preparing for this moment. He will protect and defend the constitution and you will be surprised at what he will do to achieve that end, though you might not hear about it for awhile, ditto for saving American lives. It's not hard to see who Joe Biden is, you don't need to be particularly empathetic, he's not superman, but he is a good man and America needs that more right now than ever before.

Winston Churchill wanted to be PM most of his life and got the job as an old man of 65 in a time of unprecedented national crises that makes what is going on in America look tame. He did ok and gave his last best years to the cause of freedom and signed the Atlantic Charter with FDR not far from my parents home in Newfoundland. That was the foundation of the UN and the modern world and the beginning of an alliance of democracies that endures to this day, despite Trump. A year later my dad was helping to build an American base in Argentina and then another one at Gander.

that's nice. It's a nice monologue, don't get me wrong though I didn't read much of it. Perhaps you are replying to somebody else?

I was talking about how "Bo of the Fifth Column" seems more relaxed in his more recent vid.

Yeah, he's relaxed for the reasons I stated and I took the warning about fascism seriously when he made it and I'm familiar with the source material he references, Trump and the republicans ticked off all the boxes. Maybe I'm a romantic?

Steve Schmitt went democrat today, joined up, you need this kind of guy on your side, he is clearheaded, very effective at what he does and others will follow his lead. There isn't light nor air between his views on liberal democracy and mine, I don't agree with him ideologically, but I figure he's a bit of a romantic too and a patriot. He also has a pretty clear idea of what is going on in America and the danger you/we are in, like Cromwell said about the king, you dare not lose the presidency to these people, even once, their intentions are clear.

The republican party is now in the position that it takes a sociopath to lead them and they are auto selecting them at all levels, they are the only ones who can satisfy the base.
