When I chop I’ll do a side by side yield comparison and post it for u guys
How long does this strain go for, they're looking great and will just get better. I got some Norther Lights, King Tut, Green Crack, Afghan Hash Plant, and White Rhino. The pheno of the White Rhino is growing popcorn nugs even at the top colas, so I'm going to scrap that one after this run. The Afghan Hash is really nice golf ball size nugs, the others are also doing really nice. I'll post some pics of them later when I'm done cooking supper.

This is interesting. Im new to LED's. Running 6 HLG 320QB XL RSpecs this round and ive noticed my OGKB is about a week ahead of schedule. Almost every strain I run usually goes 1-2 weeks past whatever the breeder says. If breeder says 8 week flower time, I usually write it off as a 9-10 week strain and that usually holds to be true.

In House Genetics says their OGKB V2.1 IX is a 60-75 day strain. Im on day 54 and almost all the trichs are already cloudy. Looking like its going to be closer to a 60 day strain which would be the complete low end of what the breeder says which never happens in my experience.

I wonder if theres actually any science behind LED's shortening flower time.

I'm pretty sure most breeders give times that start from the first sign of sex....ie pistils visible, which is usually one, sometimes up to 2 weeks. Which might explain away your 9-10 weeks from triggering on an 8 week strain.

True. But even if that is the case that means my OGKB is finishing a week or two early still. I count my flower time from the day I switch to 12/12. If breeder says its a 60-75 day strain from the time pistils appear then im on schedule to finish on day 50 according to their method.

You've ran OGKB under led?

HP's looks nicer, better, more buds.what wattage led?
Are you blind there are way more buds on the led side. They just arnt as spaced out would you rather have foot long colas or colas with nugs that are spaced out inches apart. I think it's just that most people who start with HPS can't accept that good quality LEDs are better. Plus the OP is even saying the LED is beating the HPS, he's the one there working on the plants and can see them with his own two eyes in his side by side. So if he's saying the LED side is doing better then it probably is. There also isn't as many plants under his LED then the HPS so if you mean there is more because of that then no shit, there's an extra plant on the HPS side.

The buds on thc cob side are waaaaay bigger and more dense though their extremely airy in the hps side
I don't know why some people are arguing saying the HPS side is better, They probably run HPS and don't want to switch to LEDs because they are pretty costly upfront compared to HPS. Your side by side proved that good quality LEDs will kick HPS ass. But still I don't know why they are arguing when you're there every day with the plants, and saying the LED is doing better. Plus just in the pictures the ones on the LED side are huge ladies, the HPS side still has time to fill out but no where near as much.

I don't have a stake in this beef, the HP's seems to have more growth , overgrown, the led buds look leafy more too, HP's can clearly see the buds but led a lot hidden under leaf.

This could be a problem with the led intensity, the HP's side looks healthier. This is clear to see, who knows which yeilds more, the led side needs more trim to get just bud I think.

What's the total led wattage?

His is 500w of LED compared to 1000w of HPS the LED wins. And yeah I have noticed you do get more leaf from LED but it dosnt make the buds smaller usually bigger since your plant has more leafs for photosynthesis. All you have to do is trim a bit more, but who dosnt like to have more trim to make hash with then make into rosin if you press rosin. Still bigger buds throughout and further down. And the plants under the LEDs are just as healthy, only a bit further along bacuse the LEDs spectrum. Plus LEDs have more penetration then HPS so more leaf really isn't an issue HPS just has more coverage but with HPS the bulbs lose quite a bit of light intensity over time, plus spending more money dealing with heat, with LEDs they don't put off alot of heat so you usually don't need air cooled hoods and shit like that.

Yeah 500w LED and 1000w HPS. The LED is already winning, so if he would put another 500w of LED to match the wattage of the HPS it's no competition. I'll put it this way if it were a race the HPS has broken legs it already lost.
