High also isn’t just thc. The difference between a 15% strain and a 30% strain is a extra puff. Thc lvls are super overrated. Lots of great sativas have surprisingly moderate/low levels.
I wonder if THCV has anything to do with that? It shows up in a different spot from THC in TLC testing, but if there's enough of it, it strengthens the effects of THC.
Do you think hash made from it would be any stronger? You might be able to get something of worth from it.

the trichs on Grape Pupil are all deep purple... I ended up with about 15 grams of dry sift that fell through the screen while trimming... I pressed it and it actually came out decent ... and to answer your question, yes, I plan to just just wash the entire crop and see what I get from it... the flower has no value on it's own

Do you happen to have any idea of the strain it is orginally supposed to be if he just renamed it? Not sure but wouldn't someone be able to run the two side by side and tell? Renaming a cut or not giving someone credit for the work they have done are kind of hand and hand not cool. I personally think yes if you took the time to hunt a pheno that is your such pheno but always give credit for the one who allowed you the chance to be able to have done that.

The rest as you stated is irrelevant to growing besides the bunk gear and that is sad to hear I had been looking at the grape pupil. Guess I will just get more CSI gear.
there were rumors that it was actually ninja fruit .. but who really knows ... I couldn't care less

I agree with you that if someone breeds an F1, then hunts and selects a cut, then gives that out to his friends .... his friends should respect that ...

... but the moment a breeder puts a price tag on a cut or seeds, he loses the right to any expectation of it being proprietary ... if someone bought the cut they can do whatever they want with it... including breeding with or renaming it if they so choose

I agree with all that except renaming it. I actually wish that dna company that was making a genetics library would have worked out instead of scamming people for their genetics. I feel like too many people breed with unverified cuts or renamed cuts and it makes it hard to trust your getting what the breeder says it is.

I agree that it would be interesting if there was a realistic way to genetically map cannabis strains... but that's a real slippery slope ... GMO patents (think Monsanto) cost about $136 million from start to finish and are only good for 20 years... however, the first 8-10 years is all research and development, so the patents only really protect exclusivity for about 10-12 years ... and that's all to protect one particular crop strain, but when you consider the billions they stand to make, it's worth it for them ... I just can't imagine that there's any single cannabis strain worth spending $136M to protect for only 10 years

unless you get a cut directly from the original breeder there's really no such thing as a true verified cut .. and even if you do get it direct, it's still only word of mouth, and nothing that actually "verifies" it .... cannabis strains are all folklore and I'm perfectly ok with that

I’m sure it’s thcv and other cannabinoids/terpenes that we don’t even know about yet. Or we do and don’t know how it contributes to the experience. When they made that pure thc (Marinol) medication they found that cannabis was much more effective. It’s a bunch of things combining and working in conjunction that creates the different highs. When it becomes federally legal I bet we are going to see a ton of interesting studies.

Star Pupil is nothing like ninja fruit. Anyone who grows them both can tell. Various IG trolls have tried to make up stories saying SP is just mendo purp, or blueberry, or dep, or ninja fruit, and even a few others. It is much different than each of them, and anyone who grows them side by side can tell. I've yet to see another purple strain that expresses the same way as SP, especially in the terpenes, as well as her unique leaf traits. She is pretty unique :)

I created Star Pupil by pollinating branches of my plants and growing out the seeds from my favorite plant, and got a lucky real good find that I've kept cloning ever since and then got more into breeding in order to preserve her.

No clue what you are talking about. I don't report anyone, and have been the victim of snitches trying to rat on me, I would never wish that on anyone. I don't even know who you are and don't wish harm on you or anyone, even those who have wronged me. If I have a problem with someone I block them and move on, no need to interact with those who dont vibe with each other.

None of my descriptions are "made up" and plenty of people are loving my strains and say they are very true to the descriptions and medicinal value. A lot of the descriptions are based on feedback in addition to my own experience and intentions with each project. If you grow my seeds you'll get what you see in the photos. I work hard at what I do, your comments are not appreciated. <3
