When on such a tight budget one saves where they can, no sense in buying stuff that is overkill for his 8 square foot space.

If your only running that one little light, just about any inline fan will be enough to cool the tent. The size of exhaust fans isnt about the size of the tent, its about the amount of heat coming off your light. Get the bigger tent.

You don’t need a pH meter. If you really need to check pH buy a roll of litmus paper. It’s more than adequate for our purposes.

If i was going as cheap as possible id make my own tent. rip a few 8 ft 2x4 in half and frame with the 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 and staple some black and white poly and ad a zipper or 2. bingo bango

that's a great idea - its so funny because when I first started growing it was either a dedicated room if you were really lucky, a closet, or failing that a box that you built or repurposed lol I don't even know when grow tents started popping up - the zip doors among other things are pretty convenient tho, not gonna lie, but if you used 2x4 lumber it would be pretty damn sturdy which is a drawback of the tent from what I understand

Hahah seriously , first ever grow was in an armoire lol than I made a better one , and now just a tent lol I have to say tho , it was ALWAYS so much fun constructing everything lol

absolutely - its funny to think how worried I was back then about the cops kicking in the door
I loved building stealth boxes, it was a thrill to pull off having a family gathering at your place and grandma is sitting on the couch next to a box full of flowering bud.

Check the thread I linked. I showed him what I got, with links, but then he said he had a light and he could buy a whole kit for $279. I told him that sounds good because he can have 2 lights then, but then he said his budget was 1k.. lol. I bought separate because I didnt want to buy everything off 1 paycheck. I have way too many kids to feed to do that lol.

4) 8 bulb T5s.

1) 4x4 tent ...8 - 12 DWC buckets.
1) 3x2 tent... turbo kloner & prop tray. 2ft T5.
plus CO2 tank & regulator.
Hanna pens. Coco. Nutes. Timers.
& Bad Ass Genetics.

$5K in equipment in 7 years.

I’m wanting to grow, i’m even looking into going to college to learn about plant genetics and all that stuff but right now i’m wanting to just get some base stuff just to start out. i know along the way ima keep spending more and more money but with $300-$400 i’m just tryna get my foot in the door and start learning what i can.
Also i’m not wanting to spend tons of money on one thing and then realize i don’t even need it.
Could you maybe PM me and help me come up with a list to get started ?

Yea i originally had a 1K budget then some shit came up and i had to dip into the money i had saved up for this.
