Trump Issues Wave of Pardons, Including for Ex-Aide Papadopoulos

President Donald Trump on Tuesday pardoned 15 people, including Republican allies, a 2016 campaign official ensnared in the Russia probe and former government contractors convicted in a 2007 massacre in Baghdad.

The pardons included former Republican Reps. Duncan Hunter of California and Chris Collins of New York.

Collins, the first member of Congress to endorse Trump to be president, was sentenced to two years and two months in federal prison after admitting he helped his son and others dodge $800,000 in stock market losses when he learned that a drug trial by a small pharmaceutical company had failed.

Hunter was sentenced to 11 months in prison after pleading guilty to stealing campaign funds and spending the money on everything from outings with friends to his daughter’s birthday party.

Trump also announced a pardon for George Papadopoulos, his 2016 campaign adviser whose conversation unwittingly helped trigger the Russia investigation that shadowed Trump’s presidency for nearly two years.

By pardoning Papadopoulos, Trump once again took aim at special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe and is part of a broader effort by Trump to undo the results of the investigation that yielded criminal charges against a half-dozen associates.

This group is just the small fish, each group will lead to a worse group and the outrage will grow. Everything tRUmp does is about destroying confidence in the system, both the government and the media, tRUmp is a trained propagandist and he's being guided by propagandists. tRUmp and his true inner circle are connected to every authoritarian the planet, it's a fucking private club of sorts.

I notice that none of them are potential witnesses against him personally, only two and they were at arms length away from him. I thought he might wait for Friday Merry Christmas and all the reporters off for the holidays, but perhaps there's more to come soon? If he pardons his family and close associates like Rudy it will be late in the game, after December 6th probably. By the time he has his dog and pony show on inauguration day, the stink will be pretty bad and those members of congress standing with him will carry the stench too.

He might be stupid enough to pardon everybody around him, all the witnesses and they had better be prepared to leave the country and live abroad, including Donald with his self pardon. None of this should affect his base of support and I don't think he lost many of the 74 million racist assholes and moral morons who voted for him. If they reran the election next week the results wouldn't be much different, it wasn't ignorance or disinformation really, it was racism and bigotry and still is.

Trump is signalling that he will take care of those who were loyal to him (it does not cost him any). And you will see the pardons get more questionable as he goes. He is getting people desensitized to whom he pardons. And 72 million, not 74. The more contrivercial the pardon the more his base will cheer him on thumbing his nose to the rest.

He didn't pardon them on Friday when he usually makes his news dumps. It was timed for impact, provided he is thinking in those terms at this point. He seems freaked out and it looks like Pence won't pardon him and he is going after Mitch and Pence. I also hear he is causing trouble about the stimulus bill, nit picking etc, he won't sign anything, it's about punishing Mitch. Mitch was a bitch about the negotiations because he knows Trump won't sign and it's killing them in Georgia. Apparently when racists actually starve to death it makes an impression on them and brings them back to reality.

This con is repeated over and over through history, the rich and powerful always help put authoritarians in power thinking they can control them and get filthy rich in the process. But it never works out in the long run and the psychos like tRUmp always turn on the people that put them in power,it always ends bad for them.

I think he’ll eventually kill melania, with the butler’s help. Excuse me, I mean with Barron’s help. I foresee Giuliani defending him. It doesn’t end well for drump or drumpy b.

Whew the stench from that list is enough to make a maggot retch.

It's easy to put Donald in jail quickly, if it is useful to do so, he could be subpoenaed to appear before an ongoing grand jury investigation concerning him or one of his principle associates. He can answer all the questions or end up in a cell and if he lies, he can also end up in a cell. Trump under oath for anything would most certainly face perjury charges, you'd only need to ask him who won the election FFS!
