Genetics question

Ok so if a female plant is fertilized by a different single hermied female, say... will all of the seeds be genetically identical ("twin" sisters), or does the pollen have genetic variability? or is it all identical except for mutants? will each of those seeds produce an identical female plant in the same environment? or is each seed different? anybody know? Thanks!

Good to know. I have a few seeds from the same plant growing now will be interesting to see how they come out.

Sounds like I'll have to learn how to clone then, what if you grow some plant that you really like?
Yep clone it. People are naming cuts now and having their genome sequenced. A "strain" in the future will be a cut, nothing from seed.

Cloning is really easy. You can also re-veg plants if its too late.

HLV :o:o:o!?!?! sounds like herpes
hops latent viroid. Its some serious shit and its very hard to tell if plants have it or not until its to late. Super easily transmitted just from touching one plant then touching another or from scissors taking clones or plants touching each other. A lot of big growers have it and dont even know. Slowly works its way through their mothers and quality goes downhill but there is no apparent reason. Plants still grow but with less vigor and branches are super weak. Buds are lower quality too.

I see lots of mites and HLV in the future......
they’re gonna just breed resistance into em. NP.

people freaked out when phylos went into breeding themselves because of how much genetic info they’ve amassed. Looks like they’ve already put out their autoflower cbd. Dudes might conquer the cannabis world we shall see.

for now it’s kinda fun to just poke around the galaxy. I did have one cut verified by them though.

I dont believe there is a way to breed resistance to HLV.
