Anyone have experience with Dr Greenthumb seeds? Dudes been around forever and still putting out seeds. Always wanted to try him...well more recently I’ve taken an interest again. I remember over 20 years ago he was selling seeds.

Doc's Big Laughing was one of the first strains I grew, over 20 years ago.

Since then I've grown out Headband, The Dope, Cheese, endless sky, Jazz, and I'm flowering Gorilla Glue now, Blue Dream in the future.

You will get your beans but don't expect any hand holding.

Worth the effort.

the headband stand ouT? I’m a fan of the strain. Been running Head Cheese from Big Buddha for a while. A great headband cross. Endless sky...that’s one I remember having a real good reputation many many years back. Was probably his most popular

Just happens that I've got a half gallon of Headband left from a May harvest!

I just ground up a nug and I'll give a smoke report as I hit the Volcano Ballon. I have a high tolerance built up from consuming 4-5 grams a day, so the headband doesn't knock me over like it would to someone who doesn't vape as much.

... gives a nice thick ballon, lots of vapour from 1/3 tsp.
... a little spice in the smell/taste
... very relaxing, a medium body stone
... smooth vaporizing, cured well
... my mind is drifting, end of smoke report.

No, it’s most likely a guy sitting around smoking hookah in his undies and jizz stained wife beater. Once a month he sends all the orders out after swiping them in his ass crack. Just my guess. Good seeds though from what I hear

As a newer grower I’ll throw this out there. Big Buddha seeds. Everything I’ve grew from them has truly been impressive. Devils Harvest also.
I can’t lie I’m looking for some good throwback seeds that will have me feeling like I’m in the 90’s or earlier. With a name like that I would think they would have some good 1s

Yes big Buddha has some old school vibes. Freeze Cheese is real nice. Ace seeds has some old school vibes and very good breeder with cult following. Lots of landrace crosses and old school sativas. Thais, Colombians, African sativas. He has some indica stuff too and decently balanced hybrids. Extensive sativa breeding though. I’m more indica guy. I’ve grown ace seeds Kali China, Zamaldelica and Bangi haze. Old school giggly up kind of smoke on all.

Lots of cheese crosses with big Buddha. A real killer blue cheese. Their head Cheese and cookies and cream cheese are top notch. The freeze cheese reminded me of indica dom “kind bud” I smoked in highschool in the 90s. Same with Legends Gold from Big Buddha. Ace is where you want to go for that super throw back heart pounding weird sativas

Believe it or not I never even heard of any cheese strain until I got on here but what’s up with that sour chisel might have to pull the trigger on that 1

I realize it's been a while, but was the Big Laughing a giggly strain? I really want to try his Jazz for the Oaxacan component. Any comments on the Jazz?

I've grown his Carnage that has a powerful energetic vibe to it. One plant had pink pistils and another smelled like coffee. It finished in mid September in SW Ontario.

Also grew the Mediplant which had a very perfume like odour and great high - ladies loved it. Had it tested - 22%THC and 1%CBG. The plants got large, turned purple and were harvested mid to late October. No issues.

Big Laughing did produce short fits of laughter.

My phenos grew branches stacked on top of each other, I should have defoliated but didn't know any better.

.

I was disappointed with Jazz, but that could have been my growing and not the genetics.

Doc's Gorilla Glue is looking vigorous, lots of energy and growth. The most dense rootball of any strain I've grown, holds more water before runoff.

.

Ozumoz if you can find Dr Gruber he should be able to answer a lot of questions about Greenthumb's beans.

YES Doc's strains are good....

The EX cheese is real "EX"...... I ran his gear on and off for quite awhile. Some of the newer one's. Look worth my time to try out.

The diesel is stand out.

One of the ONLY places I'll go through "trainwreck" clones for a breeding project!!!

I've read many of Dr Gruber's journals/smoke reports and based growing Carnage and Mediplant on them. His growing technique is different than mine, as I'm only outdoors in the ground and an occasional container.

Sad to hear you were disappointed with Jazz. A neighbour recently reminisced about his experience with Oaxacan as a youngster and had me curious. One of his new favourites now is blue dream - hope yours does well when you grow it.

Ran Royal Gorilla from RQS as well as their Ice two years ago. Worry free, tasty, sticky and productive genetics.

Agreed, his genetics are great. Which diesel, ECSD or the Iranian diesel? Have you by chance tried any of his Iranian crosses or the Cindy 99?
