Switching to HPS

Because I have little experience I am keeping an open mind to all technologies to see for myself. Timber has been awesome and I'm positive it will be a simple fix or change. My heart drops when I take a peak in the tent and it's dark and the light flickers. I waited a long time to buy it and still feel I made the best choice for my needs. Everyone has a life outside of work so I'm being patient. In the mean time I would like to explore temporary solutions as things are matured.
Just hang a light bulb in there for now. FFS, people treat this hobby like it's so fucking complicated. It isn't.

Wait. You have a faulty Timber and haven't bothered to contact the company, and instead safe seeking help on an internet forum? WTF???

Get off your ads and co tact Dan. He'll take care of you.
He said he is waiting for the owner to fix it so I would imagine he contacted them. I tagged Dan into this thread, from what I hear he is a great guy and will likely take care of him ASAP.

Dan seems like a genuine good guy. I've been in contact with him about this particular issue since early December and he is helping me troubleshoot. This morning the light was off and has been flickering so that's when I made a post asking about getting a different light to fill in. I wished him a happy holidays and will reach out to him after the new year as we all need a break to live our lifes.

Hello,
I currently am experiencing some type of wiring issue with my almost brand new COB led light and am waiting for help from the owner to resolve the issue. It is my first grow and I am discouraged. This has me thinking of switching to a reliable proven lighting to have some homegrown eventually since my lights are severely hurting my ladies because they're not on sometimes when they should be. It is a small 2x2.5ft grow tent so I was thinking 250 watts for non led? Any help would be appreciated!
Just in case, I always hav a backup light.

It's a good idea, any piece of equipment can fail. Doesnt matter if it's the cheapest or most expensive, anything can fail. Everyone should have a backup if they can afford it. Good on you for recognizing.
You know I already have plenty of backup lights Doug. You told me to stop buying more a few weeks ago.

Yes sir. I have my backup MH/HPS 1000 watt with extra bulbs and 3x 150 watt blurple plus that Mars. Also got a backup carbon filter. I would hate to work months and have a failure due to one piece of equipment.
