I think I remember some threads with someone who was growing in what was mainly a manure medium, but can't recall any where ewc was the primary and large percentage of. If it's something you're interested in it would seem like something you could do on a small scale first to try it out. I'd have to wager a guess that as long as you have adequate aeration it'd work assuming you don't get any other problems like deficiencies/toxicity or lockouts.

I think @Budzbuddha has experimented with EWC as a medium or maybe it was a 50/50 mix.

Yeah I went down this rabbit hole a few days ago. I’m going to try it problem is I have my next grows already vegging in soil so it’s going to be a Little bit. Maybe when I pot up I will go into the EWC.Worm Castings - Nature's Finest Fertilizer! | Vite Greenhouses

EWC is loaded with nutrients and will continue to feed the soil through the entire grow. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Im looking for a water only solution. The perlite just to help with drainage.
I’m not looking to compost in my basement. This is an alternative to worm bins etc.

It can be done, but I sure wouldn't recommend doing it. Not 100% EWC at least.

I think the peat and airation makes the benefits of ewc really come alive. I'll stick to 1/3 castings, soil has a chance to really come alive With proper moisture and airation. I man gunna guess it would be a big fail. XOmpared to traditionall mixes.

Im interested. I have grown many tomatoes in ewc/peat/perlite with some added meals like kelp and crustacean and some minerals added. I would tbink you would want a few amendments...Peat really helps a lot with retention and a bit of buffering as well.
