Do you add organic nutrients to your tank? I have been using synthetic nutrients in my planted, but I'd like to go full organic if I can. Do you think a little Gaia Green 444 would kill my guppies?

Any nutes made by companies is a BAD idea to add to fish tanks. Take great caution on what you choose. There not made for fish tanks. Personal experience. Added a Fox Farm product 1/4 of the suggested amount. 12 hours later 20 fish belly up. Things like liquid kelp, I have used. But I've basically gone to adding the nutes in as simple a form as possible. Potassium Hydroxide, phosphoric acid, epsom salts for magnesium. Nitrates are gotten from ammonia break down with bacteria.

Seems like you need to manage the feed for the biofloc ( fish, bacteria, pond lilly's) temps and lights to keep things in check, as well as grow pot.
You are limited on pest management with fish in the equation, that is a drawback for some things.

Rather defeatist. Gotta take a Zen approach. Plants are plants are plants. There are plenty of videos out there of large scale grows of not just pot but all kinds of plants.

This guy is a nut in this next one but VERY informative in building the mechanics.

This will build your nutrient basics and he has a whole series on each nutrient.
From there this forum can help to adjust. Such as pot is much like tomatoes. (hmmm I wonder if you can graft a tomato sucker into a pot plant ??? Imagine the salads you could have..and serve at your mother-in-laws!!).

Sorry bud that tank won't work in an aquaponic setup. Or at least it will be REALLY difficult. If that is what your aiming for. You need an overflow tank.
They have holes in the bottom or the top side. You can drill holes in the sides of most tanks. Take care, I won't chance it unless the tank is free-to-me.
NEVER try to drill into the bottom. It's tempered , will shatter.

This is a 65. I have a 55 that I've yet to setup.
I got lucky. Fish store was closing and he had these 2 in storage. I paid short money for them. That's the good part. Bad part was I waited over 6 months for this type of deal.

Mine are indoors near the furnace so temp is managed. Bacteria, at this point has been a non-issue. On the negative side I've had no issues. Much easier to control than with hydroponics. On the positive side I use Microbe-Lift. It's made specifically for fish tanks. Reduces ammonia. Turns it into nitrates for the plants.
Have had issues with spider mites but I served up a Capt'n Jack shower and haven't seen them for 2 grows.
Pond lily's. I'd LOVE to have an outside grow. My front yard would be perfect. It's a large gully. I could make it large enough to skate on.
