this is incorrect. usually the problem with a seedling in a large pot is the grower and their ability to properly maintain soil moisture levels. the plant does not 'know' how large the pot is as a seedling.Initial thoughts
Starting in soil in too big of pot causes slow growth
Ultimately it will learn to spread out in that pot and have a growth spurt
But next time start in smaller pots and leave room to add dirt to cover the stem if it gets stretchy
Good luck
I'm only telling him the pot is the issue because it is much easier to start with a small pot on seedlings due to poor watering habitsthis is incorrect. usually the problem with a seedling in a large pot is the grower and their ability to properly maintain soil moisture levels. the plant does not 'know' how large the pot is as a seedling.
I think it's better to just say that outright instead of propagating incorrect information and grower myths, that's all.I'm only telling him the pot is the issue because it is much easier to start with a small pot on seedlings due to poor watering habits
Than using a final pot as a starter
