Right tool

When checking your trichomes, does anyone have a good tool they use to check on it? If so what would you recommend

I have a hand held magnifier, but as good as it is, trying to keep it still while checking is a bummer, so don't know if there was any better

The hand held I have looks like Sherlock Homes uses it but it's a plastic frame. 3.5" lens.

Your next option is a loupe. The trick is cutting a sample and putting it on paper. Laid on the table and then steady viewed. Free hand using it, it does shake. You can see but its not like cutting a sample. Sitting down, taking your time and looking.
