I haven't got it figured out either. I'm always behind on what they want. I keep trying to get more proactive but I'm lazy too. I'm also in soil that's over 2 years now, so I think I might be dealing with a little too much Ca from all the Ca based amendments, and my well water already has Ca. It's a learning process for sure.

I give them a 3-3-3 top dress in veg and this in flower. I give them a 1/2 cup with the weekly veg watering but maybe thats not enough...

When you top dress with that stuff you should add a layer of compost or EWC on top. That will help boost the microbes to start breaking down the nutrients.
I usually just mix the top dressing into EWC with a little pumice and just throw that on under my mulch and water it. Makes it a little easier for me. But most people do the top dressing and then add EWC.

I've never used it. Just looked up the ingredients. Its the alfalfa and blood meal that are burning your plants. Those are hot amendments. It probably isn't literally burning your roots.
I usually top dress with milder, cooler amendments.

This is tough. I just went through barely feeding them the entire grow to be sure I wasn’t over feeding. I try to just go by how green the plants are. I’ve been weighing my feeds so I know how much I’m using and can dose different for each plant and see how they react. Then adjust.
using GH will fuck up all your microbes etc. should decide on one or the other. I was just in that boat I’m going organic.

Most of my stuff I got from Build a Soil. Their Craft Blend is good shit. It's never burned any of my plants with it. Last time I ordered the big bucket of it. But I have a bunch of solo amendments from them too that I'm experimenting with. Tonight I'm gonna mix a 1/2 cup Gro-Kashi with some EWC and a little pumice to give to one of my vegging plants.
I've probably spent a grand there now, but my basement is full of BAS shit. But there's other decent looking stuff out there. Just be careful of the hot amendments with established plants.
