I’ve seen those machines for fruits and meats and such. Clever
if you ever get the chance. We have done Sour Skittles and all sort of skittle flavours and they're like Candy Crack, and dangerous when high. I should of clarified that we (the family) purchased it for actual food, well I wanted it for the weed. The candy and other foods are a nice bonus. We cut up beef into stew beef chunks and tastes amazing when rehydrated/cook for an actual stew. It really does keep the flavours intact in comparison to a traditional food dehydrator. Soft Chew starburst on top, skittles, peeps and what look like potatoes. Those are soft chew caramels, that will just melt in your mouth like cotton candy.

I'm too exhausted. But if any of you have a mechanical ability. A working freeze dryer can be built with ancient vacuum pumps and and a large old pressure cooker and a good dedicated freezer. Figure it out. No threat of injury. So I'll leave you with that. And a cheap compressor is needed.

Peace.

C`mon man please dont insult me, I am getting wasted on some very frosty purple bud, smoked a small johnny joint and drifted off watching
Frank Gallager. Its 6 weeks in flower today.
I was reading all of the posts untill now thinking you were in week 3 of flowering cause you said in the first post that you are 5 weeks to harvest, lol yeah bro week 6 is when i take my first little bud to try,not because i have to but i want to!definately not ripen but it gives a nice stone, buds will grow at least another 20% or more untill ripen.i like to sit my buds on something that gets warm to the touch but it takes at least 48 or more hours, less than that it really sucks i prefer to just go buy some or ask some friends.

I wouldn’t know...I never run out of weed to ever have to think of doing such a thing..matter of fact I don’t smoke anything that hasn’t been cured for 4 months minimum.
I'm fortunate enough to be in this situation, or at least similar. I'm never stressing on a plant finishing faster or needing smoke. It makes being patient and letting the girls finish the right way SO MUCH easier. Obviously not everyone is going to be as fortunate, so I consider myself lucky.

Put a sock over a hair dryer. Put the buds in a bowl or hang them up.

Use the hair dryer off and on for like 15 minutes and you'll have dry enough to smoke.

Not worth it tho. Better to just wait.

You could spend a few thousand bucks, wait a few weeks/months and get yourself a Freeze Dryer. I have a medium size Harvest Right freeze dryer that the entire family pitched in on. Dry and cure your weed in like 17-20hrs, and you don’t lose and any shape or colour too.

This is awesome! I just looked into it a little and there are companies that make freeze dryers specifically for bud but they're all WAAAAAY out of my price range. I'll have to save up and get a Harvest Right. What oil pump did you go with?

And don't mind the haters. I have many expensive hobbies and people ALWAYS hate on new technology that they've never even tried. Saw it in woodwork as new power tools were released, in photography when Mirrorless cameras started competing with DSLRS. And its very common in the cannabis industry as new ways to do things are coming up all the time. People just get stuck in their old ways because its what works for them and thats the final verdict. Cant teach an old dog new tricks.

it comes with an oil pump, but we spent the extra money and went for the oilless one. Turns out during the pandemic that the oil for the pump was becoming very hard to come by. Well, according to my mom who ventures on these freeze dryer board with many users asking where to get the oil. Plus, we wanted less hassle in changing out the oil load after load. I would suggest to get at the very least to get the medium size freeze dryer from Harvest alright. I trim everything down to bud size and could fit between 900-950g in total wet bud on all 4 trays. I think the large one can hold slightly over double that amount. The freeze dried weed handle easily be crumbled between your fingers. I can load my grinder to the brim and only need 8-10 turns and it’s done. Happen to have some of my Blue Dream beside me to show that.
