How can I get humidity higher with exhaust fan running ? Have a small humidifier but only gets RH higher when exhaust fan is off, but this makes the temp go too high . I have a speed controller for the fan but even on slowest setting it still sucks all the humidity out. Any ideas ?

The only way is to humidify the source of the intake air.

I wouldn't worry about it though, plants can grow just fine in the lower RH%. Humidity is only a real problem when it's too high during mid to late flower causing bud rot.

But 35% is way too low really for veg right? They are growing but really slowly compared to my last one which was during summer with higher Rh

And do you think putting humidifier by the intake fan is more affective than putting it in the room itself ?

Try putting a bowl of water by your tent vents.
if not, prop a rag with chopsticks or something -half in/half out of the water with a fan on it .35% is low for veg imo . Like Renfro said you gotta control the room the tents in if you want to see sizable difference in Rh.plus he’s a g and knows his shit :joint::peace:

my room is 8ft by 12ft custom built, so should I run the humidifier outside the room where the intake fan is? But won’t the exhaust fan still suck all the humidity out?

I’d keep one inside as long as the heat from it isn’t fing the temp. And one in the room. Look at Quest (I think) I didn’t know you had such a big area. Those little shits won’t work in big areas like that. Try the towel / fan thing with 5gal bucket , something big . If your on a budget bc those big room hueys are $$
