Switching from HPS to LED Week 4 Veg?

Currently running 4 x HPS lights at 750w in a 10x10 tent. Plants are in Coco. Currently in W4 of veg. My experience is pretty limited and I’ve been behind the power curve far more than I care to admit. Thank you in advance for your help.

I decided to swap out my HPS lights and convert to LEDs due to heat/humidity issues inside the tent after bumping my wattage up to 1000. Plants are currently recovering under the 750w on an 18/6 light cycle.

Today I purchased two Growers Choice ROI-E720s to replace the 4 HPS lights in my tent. My questions are at what height would you recommend initially setting the LEDs at? And at what strength should I initially start at?

You need 4 of those lights to replace the 4HPS lights.

How do you figure? The fixtures he bought put out around 1900umol. A HPS fixture at 750watts puts out what, like 1300umol? I'm pretty confident that three of those units would replace four 750w HPS fixtures, plus the reduced power consumption will help with his heat issues.

Post pics of plants to give us a better understanding of your situation.

Because he has a 10x10 and is trying to run 1000w worth of HPS but he can not because of heat. Two led boards covering an entire 10x10. Not to quote god but, C' Mon MAN!

And not to mention, a philips bulb puts out 2120umol at 1000w and 2400 at 1150w.

He needs 4 of them.

Foot print maybe. Dude has 50 plants under 4 1000 watt lamps dimmed in a 10x10 tent.
My bad, I thought he had a 5x10, but honestly that's irrelivant, because the question wasn't how many fixtures he needed to fill the space, it was about how many LED fixtures he needs to replace 4 HPS @ 750w.

Did he say somewhere he was running a DE? Also he said he was running them at 750w. Oh, and that ppf is for the bub not accounting for any reflector loss.

No he is looking to improve on watts per square foot without getting to hot. He wants 1000w of HPS power out of led bulbs.

And yes, i run a philips bulb at 1100w in a 5x5 and the girls love it. This dude needs 4 of those led boards.

I assume everyone is running DE when they have 4 or more lights. Either way, that is the power he is looking for.

Thanks man. Just fucking around in the other reply. Unfortunately there isn’t ceiling space for more than three. And with the outtake fan and duct work eating up one side I think two would be the best I could do. Maybe I’ll just stick with the HPS.
