I like to start at 200ppm for small seedlings and add 100ppm of feed per week slowly so by week 5 or 6 in veg I'm at 700-800
Okay cool that’s what I thought, our house has hard water so my base ppm is like 400, I usually subtract that from the ppm after testing with nutrients mixed. So like if I had 1200ppm after mix the actual ppm amount of nutrients added is 800ppm is easy measure the base , so just stick it in, let's say for example your tap water starts at 100 for simplicity sake. if your goal is feeding 700ppm of feed then your end number is really 800ppm because 100+700=800
correct, now at some point hard water will restrict how much you can add because your ceiling is like 1500ppm so you may consider researching nutrients made specifically for hard waterOkay cool that’s what I thought, our house has hard water so my base ppm is like 400, I usually subtract that from the ppm after testing with nutrients mixed. I’ve boiled down my issues that’s I’ve learned from my first grow. Right now I use MehaCrops all purpose line of nutes, I recently bought their two part system which I think will help with keep the ppms down and still give the right amount of what they need.correct, now at some point hard water will restrict how much you can add because your ceiling is like 1500ppm so you may consider researching nutrients made specifically for hard water
What is the Epsom for? Natural CalMag?I would also invest in Epsom salt as the 2 part mega crop is almost identical to Jacks321
magnesium and sulfur no calWhat is the Epsom for? Natural CalMag?
That would be greatly appreciated if I could get them @TintEastwood@TintEastwood has the ppm charts of megacrop
@Renfro has a nutrient calculator somewhere no idea what version he is at but im sure he would share that aswell
tyUnderstanding and Calculating Nutrient PPM
Always good to give this thread another read. I have a question regarding NPK ratios and labeling. GH FLora Bloom is 0-5-4 with P2O5 and K2O. 0-2,15-3,3 is the with elemental P and K. Do you think of this nutrient as: 0-5-4 = 0-1,25-1 ratio or 0-2-3 = 0-1-1,5 ratio ?www.rollitup.org
