If anyone reading this thread needs help with light distancing - There's another thread on this site that I will direct your attention to that shows you how to use an app called a Lux meter. It's a free app on the play store, I'm not sure about apple as I don't have one. It will tell you the strength of your light at the canopy level as long as you place your phone there, with the light sensor (typically by the earpiece) up. The specifics of light strength at different plant stages is laid out very well in this thread.

Bump for attention about Larry. Adding picture. Looks like nute burn, using dr earth dry amendments, how do I fix this?16096298829505591441356245946359.jpg
I've just been watering with plain water ph'd to 6.5. Lights just came on that's why she's droopy.

Have you tried out any of Kelp4Less products?
I've used their grow, 3 bloom packs, and the 3 boosters for my first hydro with great results. I usually get my dry amendments from them. And their super soil and compost kit. Liquid gold too. I think that's it. Been using them for about 5 years

Not at all. I used all of that on my first indoor. It was a coco grow on a drip. Everything was looking really great, but I had salt build up at the end of the run. My plants were unhappy. I would recommend it tho. The terps were nice and the potency was there. The moonshine's ghost train I grew was insane.
I also just bought some organic bloom from them to help a root bound plant thru bloom.

Larry's issue ended up being underwatering. It must've been a long time thing, too, because all of the leaves are starting to get a little darker shade of green and perk up better after being watered more often. If I didn't water it well enough for some tips to get so dry to flake off, I must've not been getting the very bottom roots. I'll add pictures tomorrow when she's awake and perkier than today.

I guess I'm going to be a guinea pig after all. I used 2 tbs per gallon of medium for the dr earth dry amendments, and left out the dolomite lime. 4 scoops of veg, 2 scoops of bloom. Going to be topdressing every 3 weeks with the same ratio until flower, if we make it that far. I also have a fox farms trio liquid nutrient run going next to this dry amendment run in coco. Got my seed in water, planting the bean tomorrow! I'll be posting updates as it goes.
Dont forget the CALMAG!! thats was the main issue for me with Dr earth in coco coir...

I've forgot to mention as well - I'm scrapping the idea of straight coco with dry amendments. It's entirely possible, but not how coco is intended. If anyone viewing this thread is wondering if they should use dry amendments with coco, the answer is it's up to you. The dry amendments love the microbiology soil and they complement each other on a level that coco will never be able to, as it's a hydroponic medium and not meant to be an organic style medium. The original reason I posted this thread was because I could never find a straight answer no matter how many threads I read, and after watching so many Canuk videos I wanted to try it. His buds may be big, but his methods a while ago were less than ideal. He has since swapped to somewhat of a living soil with dry amendments, and has had better results because of it. I'm going to be swapping to a mix of coco and soil, with dry amendments. All Dr. Earth (Pot Of Gold Soil, Veg and Bloom dry nutes) with Mother Earth coco/perlite blend. I have also acquired a 2x2 tent with an SF1000 and popped 3 bagseed photoperiods in my new mix, so sooner than later I'm going to be posting another thread.
FUCCCCCK. lol I just bought a bag of cocogro, perlite, and clay pebbles to try the same damn experiment in my 3 gal soft pots xD My question though: I usually PH water to 6.5 with Dr. Earth and soil- "coco-Gro" suggests no lower than 6.2. I am also using MYKOS to help promote growth. What were you PH'ing at? I understand it's only a .3 change haha.
