How often you been calibrating the 608t? I have that one but its so unreliable. I don't trust that thing at all. I need an alternative because I get tired of checking temp/humidity on my phone thru out day and night, then I can turn stuff on and off from my phone using smart plugs. I need the automation of inkbird but a reliable device.

It was within margin of error when I got it so i never calibrated it. You gotta remember if you putting the prob on the floor it will be a different reading than say 2-3 feet off the ground. I try to keep it off the ground and away from fans/heat/humidifier for a more accurate reading. It's not always 100% accurate but it's close enough for what we're using it for (+/- 1-2 degrees 1%-3%). It's more accurate than AC Infinity bs controller.

Naw I got the humidity probe just hanging near the top of my tent. Maybe I could move it to the other side of tent, opposite where my inline fan is. Oh and I knew better than to buy the beefed up ac infinity with the bogus controller lol. I bought the regular one

Good call on the Infinity that thing is junk you can't depend on it in auto mode because it's way off compared to my 3 other devices in the tent. I'm forced to run it on or off at all times.

Yea mine runs 24/7. Never really played with setting it on a timer or climate controlled

Yo low-key yall made me go fuck with my 608T and its working perfectly for me now. The readings on both humidity and temp pretty much match my other therm/hygro in the tent. Only thing is I wish I could somehow set two different temps for two different times automatically. Like so I could get that natural temp drop at lights off instead of keeping it at a steady 77

Yeah that's the only thing I wish I could do without extra device. I hooked it up to a cheap wifi plug and set it to turn off at a certain time. Or you can plug it into a 24hour timer like the ones that come with led lights. This only works if you're only running heat or if you can sacrifice the humidifier for a few hours.

I use an autopilot environmental controller. It has day/night settings for temperature and humidity, it uses a photocell to determine day/night. You can set it up so that both temp and humidity kick on a fan or you can split them and have temp kick on an AC or heater and the humidity kick on a dehumidifier or humidifier depending on what mode you have it in. Both temp and humidity can be set to raise or lower.
If not using CO2 enrichment you can get the cheaper version of the environmental controller. It has a repeat cycle timer instead of a CO2 PPM sensor. The timer can be handy for flood cycles or whatnot.

Yea that Autopilot seems like the shit. That's the way I would probably upgrade if I decide to. Got me on the site looking at auto ph adjusters and everything lol. Do the potential upgrades ever stop?

Yea thats kinda how I was doing it without a 200 dollar piece of equipment. A pack of 4 smart plugs that can be controlled from phone is like 20 bucks and a 2 pack of smart hygrometers where you can see the environment from your phone costs like 10 or 15 bucks. Only difference is i had to manually turn shit on unless i had it setup through a timer on a smart plug. Thats how I have my light setup

Look into Home Assistant Its a HIGHLY customizable open source home automation system that runs on pretty much anything (I run a Raspberry Pi4). I'm only just getting started but you can do everything those autopilot boxes do and then some. With my old setup, I was able to monitor/control everything using my smartphone before but I had to use like 4 different apps and there was very little automation outside of timers. I had a Sentinel box (similar to the autopilot) but it died mid run
Home Assistant lets you take sensors/switches/modules/whatever from pretty much any vendor and get them all working together with a super clean UI. Only problem is that the learning curve is STEEP. I'm slowly starting to figure it out. So far I've got it running my lights, automatically controlling humidity, monitoring and data logging temp/humidity and I can also switch things on and off remotely from any device with a browser. Plan to add a camera for live video + recording and a flood sensor in the next few days. Eventually will add automated watering too. The possibilities are damn near endless. Here is my current dashboard. Very much a work in progress but I'm pleased with it so far.
