Gave me flashbacks to 4x8 plywood with 48 60W incandescent. The good ole days.
8 bulb x4' t5 died , led for veg?

they are called trouffers very common in any commercial building they come in 2 ft and 4 ft
christ thank you.. i was about to say that i obviously made up my mind to switch, please guys stop suggesting T5 options/repairs ..but why that makes no sense.. id rather again spend some xtra cash and upgrade to led , have the same or more output and half or less the amount of power draw,, i mean shit lol
i had another guy elsewhere keep telling me to not do 4 strips and do 8 or 16 to spread out hte power more instead of 1st just telling me i needed to go down to a 120w driver instead of a 240 (said it was too much doing 60w per strip) which he did like 6 responses later telling me to go up and up and up. he then told me to do this qb 4pk ,, which is great if i can do it with 4000k for veg. . everything else is sold out lol with no ETA
so im not waiting for 3000k qbs to come back into stock. i have a MH bulb coming tomorrow so i dont over stretch my girls in veg under teh hps bulb (ill just return it in a week or so lol thanks amazon)
soooo unless im told the 4000k is good for veg only i will go with 4 or 5 F or Q series strips (2') and i think im suppose to do an hlg120-24a or b
i figure that gives me roughtly 500 ppf based on some other builds/post ive seen around stating 10 or 12 is around 1000 on some setups.

how many watts MH?
ill glance on atreum .. 3000ks were out of stock on hlg and amazon, but the 4000s are on hlg.. 4 pack 4000k is good for veg only? this will never be used to flower.. aside from autos temporarily until like week 5 before ill move it to my 680 watt in the tent
if 4000s are good to go ill do the qb120 v2 4 pack and the 120h24a driver instead . the build will run me about 50$ more i think over 4 -5 strips, but will be way faster to build too..
i have to use a 1000w , but ill dim it by half .. too much pull on the breaker.. i think my spare room its all one .. so that means my 680w light and my exhaust plus veg side light .. didnt wanna push another 1000w and pop my breakers while im gone.. id end up with like 80% RH in my tent all day.. its off right now.. on at night due to low night temps.
also will be good to be reducing wattage and amps being pulled.. i suspect after this upgrade i should cut my power bill by 50%.. i think the 680 is suppose to save me 40% depending on how you run it

look at a chlorophyll a and b absorption chart. and then look at the 4000k qb.

yes dim it for sure walmart sells amp meters now for like 15 bucks and you can take your panel cover off and see your actual wall draw to ease your mind if its a 20 amp circuit you want to stay under 16 FLA or if its a 15 stay under 12 FLA
Yeah discovered last night all but 1 outlet is running off a 15 amp. I moved the hps off to the 1 outlet that connected to my bedroom side 20amp. Wish I knew enough to swap it out for a 20 amp or install a 2nd leg, bit oh well. When I build the new light im only going to be pulling 120w vs 432.. tho does that matter .. the driver says 5am, and I know my big led pulls 6am at 100%

yeah dont put a 20 amp breaker on 14 gauge wire its a fire hazard
I won't be changing any breakers I'll run a giant extension cord to a different outlet if I have to spread it out now if I discover I have a friend who's a professional electrician that's another story
