Excuse my lack of knowledge, this is my first grow.
I have 3 seedlings that are starting week 2. (popped on 1/3/2021)
2.3x2.3x5.25FT MarsHydro tent
MarsHydro TS1000, 17 inches above highest growth, 100% strength (i thought it was at 20+ inches but I guess I forgot to raise it once transferring to solo cups)
Grow Medium: Mother Earth Coco Plus Perlite Mix (70 coco 30 perlite)
Genetics: Greenpoint Seeds, Purple Crash
PH: 6.3-6.5 measured before nutes, tap water.
Nutes: botanicare CAL-MAG plus & general hydroponics series.
Current Nutes:
1/4 tsp micro
1/8 tsp gro
1/8 tsp bloom
2ml CAL-MAG.
these plants were germinated in paper towels and then transferred to Jiffy pellets (the ones that come dehydrated)
Now the jiffy pellet sits directly in a clear solo cup filled with coco, and the clear cup is then placed in a red solo so I am able to observe the roots without light damaging the roots.
They have been watered in their solo cups 3 times until runoff. Otherwise, I have been keeping the top of the coco moist with a spray bottle (with nutes). The runoff today ran at only 125 PPM.
My questions for today:
1. Should I up the general hydroponics to 1/4th strength, and if so how much CAL-MAG should I provide?
2. Should I worry about the brown spot on the new growth shown in the close-up picture? I'm assuming they just need more nutes since the runoff PPM was only 125. Possibly light burn from only being 17 inches about growth? let me know.
3. Also, how do the plants look growth wise? are they at a normal size, or is that purely based on genetics?
4. How's your day going?
