About to give up completely

So are you just including the ppm of your tap water into the total ppm as a base and not adding any calmag?

How exactly are you working the figurative number for feed?
so more you read/post/ask ppm becoming rocket science lol , i simply dont add/deduct shit. Im trying to keep it simple.
I think of ppm as a calorie :) less is more :) but if u get more calories from tomato is not the same as u get same amount form cookies so adding calmag with filtered tap wont hurt but adding big bud and koolbloom at the same time probably will.
i use 75% of everything based on feed chart or bottle label. i use gh flora 3 part (75 % feed chart) botanicare calmag (75 % of 3ml per gall cuz i already have calmag in my water) , protect silica 75 % of 5ml per gall ,hydroguard full dose , root exc full dose. but i make 100 gall nutes and my system is 120 gall, so if i see nut burn i just add water to lower the ppm since i dont use top off right now. but if u add ro top off with floating valve ur chances of overfeeding get really low since as soon as they drink/eat u will add almost 0 ppm water back(i dont top off so i can force feed plants).
now this run im trying House and Garden entire line with 100% strength it spouse to be made specifically for DWC , and their support told me that with 100 % strength some strains might require me to got 110 % ill see how it goes

almost same as mine , u dont want arsenic and fluoride.
if i were you ill just get a nice 3 stage to remove all chemical crap and wont waste a water , run sterile or beneficial its up to u, i tried both and i like beneficial more , i can run my chiller at 68-69 instead of 65-66. i also use root exc and love it , rapid start was good too but not as good as root exc
Your tap ppm is around 380 ppm?

Im just wondering if 380 is to high, everything i read mentio s above 280/300 beong a bad deal expecially with possibke ph buffers
What i found out is generally 350-400 is not recommended for dwc unless u know whatscin it like if its calmag u can just skip adding calmag but usually that pom is a bunch of stuff. Have u looked in to 50/50 ? 3 stage mixed with ro ? I personally will not use straight tap cuz it has lot of shit in it , just dirt and sand is enough for me not to use it

So in my case 3 stage ph is 7.3, after silica it jumps to 8,5 after all nutes down to 6.2 but after 24 hr that goes to 6.6 thats when i start adding ph down to 5.8 then wait couple more hours and do water change. Also i dont sink hydroton in phed water so ph will constanly climb to 6

that "should" be your total ppm during your last 2 weeks of bloom when they start eating less.

so yeah, RO is what you need IMO.

Theres no way in hell im changong anything dramatic on this run either way lol. Im just askong to further my knowledge on the subject as a whole!. I do have 2 ? For you though. Once i get this 24ppm ro water into the system for 12 hours, if it DOESNT bring my ppm and ec much at all could i just add nutes and calmag to that water or do i need to drain it all and fill again with fresh batch?

Also my 2nd question, percygrowguide mentions when water is static but ph and ec is rising. They say to UP the EC a bit to stabalize the plants ec and the waters ec so the plant drinks and doesnt leach.... i dont understand that one bit.

From the info everyone thats done dwc for awhile now says the opposite like you did wich is theyre locked out so LOWER ec...

depends on what the ppm ends up being after 12hrs. i always felt a 24 hr flush worked best: and the drain/refill at the 12hr mark i felt helped "clean" out the excess nutes that were stored in the plants/roots.

but after the second 12hr, yeah, go for it if the ppm is close to your 24

Have u noticed nugs becoming a bit soft after flush ?

But lets agree @rkymtnman if setup is diled in and strain dependand u can push more ? :))
sure but why?

i think of it like a car: lets say your going 120mph with the gas pedal halfway down. if you push the pedal all the way down, you still only go 120mph. so giving it all that extra gas does nothing.

i feed once a day at 0.6 or so and i have no issues. if i fed at 2EC once a day, they aren't going to magically start eating and growing more.

a plant can only eat so much.

all i can say is just try it for yourself. max feed at 1.2 for a few days or a week and see what happens. if on day 3 you are down to 0.5 or so, top off with nutes to keep it at 1.2 i think you'll be surprised

Heres the kicker of my specific situation. Even though it doesnt seem like my water levels are dropping (wich may be due to not to many roots at the water yet, but im going to swap the water anyways) the 7 plants i was worried about and going to replace actually have excellent growth the last 2 days and i mean they have dbld in size. These are today

well it all comes down to
1. light
2. root zone
3. enviorement
by no mean i suggest anyone to give high ec , ur ranges are like foolproof unless grower special type of idiot u cant kill/overfeed plants
but if u have enough lights/temp/hum/co2 their metabolizm gets boosted so u can raise the nutes to meet the demand
