question about lighting in flower?

i am starting week 3 of flower and a new job graveyard shift question is if i left the light on for 16 hours 1 night to get them in sync with my schedule is there a chance they could herm or should i not worry dont mention a timer because i lock the room when i am gone and it must be lights out

It doesn't really matter, as long as you maintain a continued uninterrupted time of at least 12-hours of darkness during the transition process.

well last night i only gave them 9 hours of darkness and i am back on schedule so if they herm i will let you guys know i have a feeling they will be ok think about the full moon once a month in nature

They likely won't herm from one interrupted night, but generally speaking it's the hours of continued darkness that matters, and for flowering you want to stay in at least 11-12 hours of uninterrupted dark.

for now on i will keep that in mind in case i have to work overtime i could buy a timer i guess but i like being hands on daily

you can make a separate network for smart devices if your worried that much

there are many ways to protect yourself. no need to live in the stone age

I have a couple of smart plugs that I use at work to turn a sound system on and off at designated times. Over the course of a few years, they have malfunctioned a small handful of times. I've never had that issue with a mechanical timer.

mine never failed yet..must've been a bad brand
