Leaf issues, veg

Hello. I just had a post about seedlings but these are my older ladies, I’m still a baby grower with only one (failure of a) grow under my belt. Trying again.

So I’ve had a pretty good run thus far with this grow, two plants, one in 10gal fabric pot (Super Lemon Haze) with soil mixture (potting mix with lg chunks removed, old compost and dirt from outside. I know this is a terrible combo and I will fix for next grow!) and one in 7gal fabric pot (Agent Orange) with soil mix as above.

Seeds popped around Dec1-5 (busy month and bad notes sorry) and transplanted to final home around Christmas.
Used MH 600watt raised about 1-1.5’/0.3-5m until last week my 600w bulb died on me so switched to backup 1000w MH. Raised the light to try and compensate for brightness but not enough. Plants showed a bit of stress after first day so raised to 2-2.5’/0.6-7m above canopy. Been heavy LST from beginning of veg and I think I’ve kept it too close to soil line but I digress.
My leaf problems started showing up after the bulb switch so I’m hoping it’s just light stress but Idk. Middle of plant is where damage seems to be, not so much lower leaves or brand new growth showing any issues (yet!).
Watering with distilled water, was told this is a bad plan so will be getting a pH up/down kit once my reader comes in.
I went with distilled over my alkaline tap water because I read online distilled can be pH 5.6-7 so I thought it would be okay but nope..whoops!
Temps 70-82 (trying to keep it down but work during the day)
RH 30-60%
no pH meter yet15751570-B253-4C7B-BE5B-FBBE316B4D55.jpeg

It doesn't count when its a random leaf.

I have some really funky leaves at the bottom of two monster plants in flower. Most of it comes from me jamming a watering can under the leaves. Then there's one that has spots. Another is the hanging dead. There's some that are picture perfect heat stress looking but they're not. I just keep rubbing them with my little plastic watering can. (6cups max)

98% of the plant is perfect. To see the funky leaves. You need to squat down to look.

Your plant looks pretty good. Don't give that one leaf too much thought.

Thanks for the advice!
Unfortunately it hasn’t been just the one leaf, I have been picking them off as soon as they show signs because I was afraid it might have been a fungus the could spread. I pull them off without touching any other foliage and then wash my hands before touching anything else. I have pulled off two leaves (haven’t picked the last one that is seen in photos) from one plant and only one off the other plant. I’m super new and I freak out at the small things haha.
If my problem persists I will post again! Thanks for the compliment on my lady!! She will be stoked:mrgreen:

Don't pick anymore leaves. If they die, then pick it off.

It's a super common Cal-Mag issue. With lots of way to correct it.

Okay leave the leaves alone, got it! I’ll push the calmag supplement to the top of my shopping list and try that and see if my ladies respond well. Appreciate it!

I've used both Cal-Mag and Cali-Magic. Now, I only use Cali-Magic. RO water with 2.5ml added. I use synthetic fertilizer. Its added to the Cali-Magic water. Smells better had stays mixed. Cal-Mag separates and has to be shaken up pretty good. Smells weird.

Keep giving it to them until you cut it down.

Okay I’ll see if I can find Cali-Magic instead. Thanks!

I was gonna say it might just be burning from the magnification of water droplets left on the leaves from watering with whatever light source you’re using. I have a few like that and usually show on a couple lower leaves after watering. I try to shake the water off but miss a spot here and there

Hmm.. that sounds extremely plausible because I just had to switch to 1000w from 600w! I’ll try to make sure no huge amounts of water can stay on the leaves from now on.
Thanks!
