My germinating seeds stop at a certain point...

Ok so my first attempt with these seeds from Nirvana , the plant was extremely small and stopped growing after like 4 days.. and I didnt see it grow for like 3 days so I decided to germ some more seeds.. now both seeds sprouted very very well in like 24 hours, its been 2 days since they sprouted, and they havent moved at all... I've germinated tons of seeds before and they always grew out enough to plant in like 3 days... has anyone ever had this happen? if you have, do the seeds end up growing again or are they gonna stay at like half a cm sprouted? Do you think its just this strain? (ive never tried this strain before, its called "kaya" , maybe they're just shitty?)

Ehh some seeds can vary seed to seed on momentum to push through soil. I have that happen to me...

I'm looking at doing a kaya grow as it looks very very nice...I'm going to do it outdoors though...

They aren't even in soil yet.. They're still in the paper towel. I just don't understand because they all did this.. I think I ordered a batch of bad seeds.. I've germed tons of seeds before and never had this problem.. Either they sprouted or they didnt.. but these ones sprout, and then stop growing.. the sprout gets to like HALF a centimeter , then just stops... its been like 4 or 5 days, and no action at all.

If the seeds have sprouted and the root tip is protruding from the shell, why are you not putting them into the soil? Why are you continuing to let the root tip grow out in the paper towel? As soon as the root tip pops out of the shell you should plant those bitches. The longer you allow the root tip to grow out in the paper towel, the more likely it is that you will damage and kill the seed.

I agree with rolla, I plant mine as soon as the I see the shell crack don't even have to have the root out. Seems to work just fine for me, may take a little longer for them to break ground, but I figure your going to wait just as long for them to grow taproots as long as some people seem to think is needed.

I usually waited til they were sprouted outta the seed atleast like a centimeter before I put em into soil, I threw em in soil , we'll see what happens.

Seeds crack then stop growing

I seem to be having an issue like this also. Thought maybe i had them to hot or to cold. but I am usig the paper towel method. I've been trying this on a few different packs of seeds i bought.

I'll put a few seeds in paper towel on a plate. Threw it in the cabinet with the door close. Next day, they all cracked. 2 of them were 1/4-1/2 inch long. Put them all in some rockwool cubes. The two that started good are growing great. the other two never did anything more.

I've gone threw a few more batches, i'll get 1 to grow, the others just crack and you see some of the white and thats it. I've left some in paper towel, some in rockwool. but if they dont see the tap root after a day or two. They just dont do anything.

Could it just be some bad seeds? it throws me off that they seem to start. some work without issue and others dont on the same plate.

Thanks for any advice. Hoping to get my seed skills worked out before my new seeds arrive. Decided to give female seeds a try from the get go.
