On the site one testimonial from some average grower says he got 6% more thc which was well below the guaranteed 15% and could be put down to strain or not being that good at growing.
UV has caused a stir recently with leds, very quickly were up to 15 - 30%, on one cannabinoid out of hundreds. Either I'm buying or telling others to fuck off with stupid claims.
Here's the thing. THC level is not the only thing some are looking for. Many are looking for high levels of CBD, THCV, etc... Many strains are low in THC but high in other cannabinoids people are seeking. That doesn't make them shit genetics. In fact many people prefer lower THC which is why many strains high in CBD, THCV, etc... are sought out by some growers.THC all boils down to the Genetics. If you have got shit genetics you won't get 30% THC. You need to get good genetics. If you want 30% THC then I suggest looking at some of IHG Gear. As for your question, I don't think a light can double the THC percentage. But a strong light can increase your harvest
Looking one step ahead, we take the highest thc strain grown with no or low UV, to a lab and expect almost ten percent more on applying UV. 40% thc strains have just been created?From what I gather with the claims, the 6% claimed increase could indeed be an increase of 30% if the THC went from 18%, to 24%. 25%-31% This 30% would equal a 6% total increase
1/3 of 18% is 6. 18% + 6% = 24%
Also one thing this does not address is chemical CHANGE of the THC. More Stalked Capitate will equal a better trichome yield, it wont produce more psychoactive affects, which I think most are after????? Ive seen hemp loaded with trichomes, but are zero in psychoactivity.
Its well known UVA increases the AMOUNT/NUMBER of Stalked Capitate, it takes UVB-285nm to create a chemical change in the RUV8 Receptor at 285nm.

I kinda laugh when growers use high THC as their only measure of quality. I had the luxury of befriending a guy whom ran a medical "store" and also sold for recreational customers. In that he had always large varieties of strains with varied levels of THC, CBD and all the others. Everything was lab professional tested. I sampled them all over the years and found that high THC like 30% alone is kinda meh, where as lower about 20% and higher levels of other CBD's totally got me wrecked for hours.Here's the thing. For instance, I've grown an Ethiopian landrace. Low THC 6 - 12% but high levels of THCV. I find it a very good strain for morning and midday smoking. The lower THC and higher THCV from a true african sativa provides a clear uplifting high that allows you to stay alert and get things done.
ACE also has a strain called Golden Tiger. It's been tested at 29.95% THC and negligible CBD and no detection of THCV. I'm currently growing some for late night smoking.
THC level is only a measure of quality genetics for those that just want to get baked. Many of us grow lower THC strains that are still great genetics but we choose the lower THC strains because that's what we want. There are lots of excellent genetics out there with lower THC levels.
Anyway, I'm not trying to be argumentative. Just providing a different look at what can be considered quality genetics because I do not feel that THC content is the only criteria that can be considered.

If they are F40 t12 I think the wattage matches but check the site.I wouldn't mind getting their 2 pack of 4 footers with fixtures. As they are T-12 bulbs I wonder if they would run off a couple of standard T-12 fixtures I already have. Then I could just buy tubes. Hmmm . . .
Always wanted to add UV to my grows and the tubes they have cover everything nicely and at higher outputs than the reptile fluoro tubes I was thinking of getting. Price is about the same too and I don't really much care about their claims. I already know UV helps and their stuff looks better for doing that.
