Actually THC is a high-factor UV-B screen, while PAR light simply goes through... thus, if the UVR-8 photoreceptor senses this radiation, it'll trigger a defensive response, and this response may differently than from UVA, as we're talking about different photoreceptors, so the internal responsive pathways are different
