I’ve never had ph problems until I used stuff like mammoth p, recharge and silica

No experience with Mammoth, recharge seemed to help with soil and coco grows but I didn't like the staining it produced in my hydro system.
I run Tribus original
I have also begun using Power-Si this run to see if it helps promote stiffer growth.
So far, results have been encouraging.

I’m trying to figure out if I you foliar feed silica if I need to PH if your in soil? Cuz silica is super alkaline

Silica needs to be mixed in first, takes 30+ min to completely bond with water is my understanding.
Otherwise, it will bond with the ferts first and change ph slowly....its more stable if you mix it first, let it sit, then add ferts.

When I start my water is 140ppm & pH of ~7.5. I add 2.5 mL/g of AgSIL16H which brings my pH way up to high 8’s & to 160ppm. My question is should I pH the ~8.9 water if I plan on just a foliar spray of AgSIL16H onto my plants? What about soil drench? Should I pH that same 8.9 solution if I plan on just doing a soil drench instead of foliar spray? I really just want to know if organic soil can buffer the silica water with a pH of 8.9 okay? or is it safer/better to just lower the pH first with pH down? I am new to organics, but I seems like I should @ least get the pH into the low 7’s?

Anyone else agree? And this stuff ain’t cheap!
I run a version of coots water only soil that does not like mammoth p. It seems like after everytime I use it , I'll get some sort of leaf problem. It happened on my last run, and I used the minimal amount recommended. Imo, my soil (and plants) is fine the way it is, it's like the mammoth p makes all my nutes readily available all at once, not a good thing.

Yes, you absolutely need to PH anything your going to feed your plants if it's 8.9 ph. As for the foliar, the high PH is one of the reasons Silica helps prevent PM. I usually don't PH silica sprays and have had no issues, but every plant is different, so test a couple of leaves with any spray to see how they react before you hose down the entire plant.

I don't PH anything in soil, Im not organic but you shouldnt need to PH anything in your organic soil either.

My tap is 7.8 btw, 195 ppm.

I only spray the seedlings with a foliar silica speay once.. Then they get a dose of silica a few weeks later when I transplant but that is mixed with the Jacks 20-20-20 ... Then one more time before I flip. The jacks lowers the PH.. But I dont PH anything in soil, plenty of buffers to get it in range as per design.

Silica is super alkaline. I'm always having to add citric acid to lower it.

It goes well over a 9 once it's mixed with bottled bloom nutes. I dont care what anyone says nothing 9. Anything is going into my plants.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I mean if it was the low 8’s I wouldn’t care
