Lick-N-Seal plastic sandwich bags

I just got back from the rec store because it's going to be a few more weeks before I can smoke any of my latest grow. Some of the names and packaging are pretty wild. It made me hearken back to the 70's when we were carry around our mostly-unnamed weed in those lick-to-seal sandwich bags. I wonder what they looked like under a microscope after a few licks...

...Ounces weren't ounces...They were "lids" and they were measured by the finger count - a 4 finger bag was best...most were 3...There was no telling how badly you were going to get ripped off. When people started weighing weed, I used to get occasional rocks mixed in with the rest of the bugs, stems and seeds. "Hey, but look, man...It weighs an ounce!"

Every so often, the Heavens would open up and some "Red Colombian" would come through...or some "Acapulco Gold" -which was a whole other ballgame -even by today's standards. The only drawback to any of it was that it was always full of seeds. That's why we needed cafeteria trays to card out the seeds when we were rolling one up....These trays were usually found under the couch, in front of the tv.

Lick-N-Seal bags...wow. How are we still alive? ;)

Post any old school weed-related stories that you can remember. I'm tripping on a nostalgic vibe.
