Honestly I'm surprised more companies haven't come out with a light system that you can add lights to. I'm thinking something like the bar style where the smaller models come with three bars and the larger come with up to 6 bars. I would think that with a adjustable driver it is something that could be done.

I suggest to go with Spider Farmer, bc it's highly energy efficient with large and bright lamp and gives a high yield.

You have pictures to back that up? Not just photos if a canopy either. I ask cause I know what HLGs can do. Only time I used SFs in flower was in tandem with a 315 CMH.

I use both. The sf4000 and the tsw2000. The spider farmer is higher quality, but adding a slightly lower quality, but far cheaper, mars gives me at least 8 sq ft more light for flowering. Under a net, that makes a huge difference. Plus I can run seedings through mid veg under the smaller mars which saves cash

The most noteworthy differences between the two should be that hlg uses lm301hs and sf boards use lm301bs, and that the sf boards have a mix of warm and cool whites while I believe the hlg boards have all whites of a specified temperature (I've seen the single boards in 3000k, 3500k, and 4000k, and the listings for their rspec and bspec etc boards list the temperature of the whites).
Doing some digging people estimate the difference is 2.7-3.03 μmol/J for the lm301h and 2.7-2.8 for the lm301b. The temperature thing is neither good nor bad; HLG allows you to customize more but if your grow is small in scale and this is going to be your light for the entire grow you would likely choose to get a mix anyways, though you could just get 3500k. Having warm and cool whites accomplishes a similar thing.
Aside from that it's just about the actual count of the LEDs and the driver that will determine the brightness since the shape of the boards isn't all that different.
I will say I don't own either and I'm not currently in the market for a board but I'm happy with the ones I got (shown in my earlier comment). I like the ridged aluminum heatsink the hlg kit comes with but I wouldn't be crazy about doing the assembly personally even if I understand in theory how to do it.

Well that's not bad but I did one plant in a 15 gallon this fall with two HLG 260s hung over it with nothing but airflow for environment and pulled just shy of 13 ounces.. Best plant I have grown under LEDs so far.. Would like to try them along with a 315 CMH but I don't have a 5x5 tent.
Feedback from customer, grow under SF2000 LED. Design with Samsung Lm301B diodes and Meanwell driver, longer lisfesapn and energy saving.

What’s your opinion on an SF1000 in a 3x3 closet?Just don’t want to not have enough light so I’d rather have more if needed instead of rushing to upgrade in the middle of the growFeedback from customer, grow under SF2000 LED. A SF1000 might be too small for that area. I would go with the HLG link posted earlier in the thread, or one of the equivalently sized setups from sonofarm or ecofarm, or the SF2000, or one of the 250w BudgetLED lights. Most places rate those boards for 2x4 or 3x3 areas.
Just a warning to everyone running SF1000s (or any SFs), check and make sure they are shutting off completely. I have 4 of them in a 5x5 and noticed one was not shutting off completely(like 1% on), then I noticed when the other 3 shut off the 2 outside rows of lights stay on slightly (less than 1%). I contacted them and they said that is caused by a timer. So I eliminated the timer and the same thing happened. Then I eliminated the power strip and plugged them right into the wall and the same thing happened. The 3 eventually go out so I figured that was normal and the way it is but with plants that need 100% dark I cant risk these bright ass lights putting out any light when I dont want them to.

There have been threads on lights staying on like that. It's the outlet. Maybe too much pulling off 1 circuit, or extension cord. To be sure, try the light in a different outlet in another room. Opposite side of the house.

It could even be a digital timer causing it. Most likely it's the outlet/power source from the wall.
The new dimmer ones, I just got them in October when they first came onto Amazon.
Yes I took them all out of them tent and plugged them in the opposite side of the house in the basement right off the breaker box. Still same issue.

Ya, I know what you're talking about. They had the neutral and hot wires switched in the outlets in a lot of those. So all they had to do was switch the wires to the outlet and problem solved. You can test it with a multimeter and make sure the hot and neutral aren't reversed without taking off the cover.

Is the brighter one the first one in a chain?
No, i dont have the daisy chains setup, they are all just plugged into a power strip, then into a timer. So I thought the timer and strip maybe are the issue as thats what customer service said. The brighter one was the second in line when plugged into the power strip.
