i was referring to chunky , long fiber coco. Not the regular ground up stuff. The regular ground up stuff would be even better for most because it hold a lot more water then the chunky stuff.

Coco being a "hydro only" mix is only gonna be found on RIU. Folks are having great results by running it hydro and thats fine but its also a GREAT amendment to a soil mix. I see absolutely zero reasons why it would be a totally different medium with different needs.

pH for coco is less than soil.

i'd personally rather add an inert medium like perlite. but my veggies aren't nearly as finicky as weed.

Yes , when i think of "inert" i think of perlite right away. Coco is not really inert and thats where most go wrong in their line of thinking. Its just like peat except the ph is different. it hold water great , its nice and loose so it breathes great also.

I dont ph anything at all. (im not saying its the best method but ive never had a problem in soil.) i treat the mix just like regular soil in all other ways.

The easiest thing for the OP would likely be Fire Fox Ocean Forest soil, water/fed with Blumats. No nutes for the first month, then start on a simple one-part nute fed at around 1EC for another month to veg the plant out. Transplant to larger container at that point, with more FFOF potting mix; and drop feed to 0.8 EC for one week. At the end of the week, flip to 12/12, and increase EC to 1.0. After 2-weeks 12/12 increase EC to 1.2. After 4-weeks 12/12 increase EC to 1.3, then feed water only for the last 10-days of bud ripening. Shouldn't be able to overwater that way, and shouldn't ever need to flush. No multiple part nute programs, no ph required, just a decent 1-part like MegaCrop or Veg+Bloom.

Idk why you say I can't go two days without flushing? Can you read? I flushed only once, repeat after me, once. I will flush again the last two weeks by not giving any nutrients. So let's not over exaggerate.

You put words in my mouth I never said. You guys are fucking delusional . I am 100% aware there is differences with growing in soil and coco. You guys make up bull shit I never once said. Ugh were is Bob the builder he is one of the only guys here who actually knows there shit.

Hey bud, thanks for the kind words. This is why I asked the OP what he was trying to accomplish. It's cool if you don't have the same opinion, would not be much of a place to learn if everyone had the same ideas. I would still stick by my words though. Soil is soil and coco is a soilless medium. If growing with either they are totally different. You feed them different, you use a different PH etc. They are defiantly treated different and have different needs. I realize many use coco as an amendment but I would not suggest a 50/50 mix, that's not an amendment but rather half your medium. If it's just extra O2 I would suggest perlite but as I say, I know some do add coco. I put my old coco out in my garden when I am done with it so I am not against adding some but I would say more like 10 or 20 %.
