Yea for sure. The reason why people over water is because they don’t have the patience to wait 5-6 days. Especially new growers.

Haha smart when I first started back this grow i did that eventually I decided I was right consistenly enough to be ok but I'm sure that will only prove to be so until it isn't any longer and ill learn I imagine)

Water only FFOF or roots organic ( I can’t remember) It was in a 5 gallon container and was the only plant under a 600w mh light.

I'm pretty new to this also, but I found that starting them in Rapid Rooters in 3 gallon pots works fine. I just use a squirter to water right around the RR until the plants get big enough that I'm comfortable watering normally. Until then, the moistness of the RR seems to be a good indicator of when to water.
