Haha, @maranibbana ,I'm probably gonna get an RO to make sure I dont kill any life in my organic soil with the nasty city tap and I was asking whether i should put back any calcium or magnesium into the water after the RO process.

Read the box.
My dinky system says the two pre filters are good for 395 gallons. RO membrane every 12 months. Has a 1.5 gallon storage tank. Yet will only produce 3 gallons total at a time. With 4-5 hours in between.
My pre filters run $69. I've ran some well past 450 gallons. Still reads 0.0. I think they want people buying more filters then really needed.

Ya, my main worry is any kinds of chloramine since it doesn't evaporate like chlorine does. Dont want to do everything right with the organics and then kill the life with the tap. But have we reached a consensus on this: no cal mag bottled products, just topdress, maybe teas, but other than that, just straight RO water with some kind of egg shell method and a little epsom salt every once in a while?

Omg that sounds like a beautiful equation
if I top dress with something that has like azomite and or oyster shell and or fish bone and or any kind or rock and or bone then there’s no need for any eggshells

You bring A nutrient mix in that favors that strains needs or wants.Why suggest transplant/change pots in living soil and not just start in the final pot size?
And then also say you now only do super soil mixes etc?
In living soil why have special mixes for special plants? I can literally put any plant in the same mix and they will perform equally amazing... I’ve had 56 day indicas and 14 week Grinspoons in 3 gal pots in the same mix and both did fine... so why do that?
You won’t find what’s in MammothP in your other bio teas
I'm also effecting the yield, bud formation and terpene's. I'm tailoring the soil to achieve results as close to the strain "potential" as you can.
While easier to do in synthetic use (I do run a handful of synthetic plants every run. I can stop playing with the nutrient formula's - for the above reason).
As far as Mammoth P not being in my Bio teas. Wrong! It's only specific strains of bio's.....or so they claim.
Those bio's ARE available in home brewed tea's. You can even shift your spectrum to have more of what ever bacteria or fungus you want to be prevalent or dominating the brew.
Synthetic or organic. Over the decades, I have found that regular up potting (just like in synthetic) keeps the plant happier and the overall health and vigor are better then not.
By far the bulk of every run is SS mix's..

Sooo, I know we said the living soil already has calcium and then we discussed the egg shell method, but now I'm seeing this product. Seems to be all organic. Thoughts? Maybe put a tiny bit into the RO water every time before watering? There are a lot of questions and answers about using the product on living soil in the Q&A section.
Just got my RO and installed. My regular tap was at 350. After RO it's at 2. Amazing! Boiled some egg shells in the water and it's back up to 40 ppm. What ppm range do you guys shoot for, for the straight (calcium) waterings?
Somebody said 100-150 I think. I have the seedlings in straight fox farm happy Frog now. Will transplant them into 1 gallons of more happy Frog with earth worm castings and the dr earth starter dry amendments in about a week.
The mid and Bloom dr. Earth dry amendments will follow later. Also got seaweed fertilizer from neptunes harvest.
