Yeah , I read that a while back. It's a good bit. What I was getting at really, is that a fresh water flush, to clear out the excess of nutrients in the root ball, cococoir, 5 gal bags are my medium, helps me maintain my ppm's , my plants look healthier, cleans up the root ball. These study's are all based mostly on flavour, does it draw well? That's all so subjective. . I'm no big advocate of flushing , one way or another, I know what works for me. Just joined this group, do all the threads get this combative? Also, Nebula HAze has a neutral stance on Flushing. My sources on The Joke
High Times Mag did a test study with RX Green Technologies and published a big article on Flushing at end of flower
look it up... Here's another one, https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/flushing-is-a-bad-practice-based-on-flawed-science.64789/
and another one, https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-truth-about-flushing.409622/ and one more I'm gonna stop at this one https://support.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/t/to-flush-or-not-to-flush/6432 and

Good morning KASSI how's the weather over in your part of the world??and when there are already enough nutes in the soil/plant. then it can use these. no need to waste resources.
doesn't differentiate between ammonia & nitrate, and is therefore imprecise on N, as it can be in the pot in anionic, cationic or nonionic form
one of the basic problems is that the word 'flushing' seems to be used indiscriminately for a number of different things. like "draining".Yeah , I read that a while back. It's a good bit. You are correct, they are living things why starve them when they are trying their bestOutside in nature the rain washes quite an amount of loosely-bound fert molecules, mostly anions like sulphate or nitrate, or humics, Cl- Na+ Ca++ out. This stuff then sinks into the groundwater or gets drained into the sea.
So, by either rain or harvest, outdoor soils will be deplete over time.

$2,500 to replace everything in the inner tent set up... 48x96x80"Oh my God please help! I've put so much money into my first indoor grow"
Haven't we all lol...
Out of curiosity has anyone ever added up the total cost of a fully operational tent, ventilation, lighting, nutrients, ph up/down etc, truncheon, ph meter, pots, oscillating fans, heaters, dehumidifier, timers, environmental controllers, thermometer/humidity gauges etc etc.
I know most have built up over time like myself but if you had to replace your set up how much would you need?
I don't use much of that. I could replace my light for $150 and tent for $125. Another $150 for fan and carbon filter. Nutrients cost pennies. You can spend a bunch but it's not necessary for a small tent grow."Oh my God please help! I've put so much money into my first indoor grow"

We were yeah talking about replacing a grow set up when did this flushing your plant comer in at???The issue with flushing seems to be straightforward: flushing the rootball, the medium, is a real thing; flushing the plant itself *isn’t*. That’s what all the articles and threads seem to boil down to, and it conforms to reason and experience.
3 or 4 of the last six pages lol, we're off the rails. We were yeah talking about replacing a grow set up when did this flushing your plant comer in at???
O ok now I understand sorry I had put that behind me on this thread lol3 or 4 of the last six pages lol, we're off the rails.
