Continuous yellowing and can't figure out why!

For reference, here's the velvet bud from summer/fall. This is 6 plants. 3 in each 10 gallon pot. Same everything as now. Except warmer. They were beautiful.

Clones started very healthy and were a perfect green. 5 or1 0 gallon (can't remember) I had lowered the (new to me) Leds I recently got. The big aluminum board kind. Left them alone for a few days and noticed they were yellowing, so I figured oops.. More light than they could use in Veg along with cooler temps from winter.

I raised the lights all the way up. And dialed them back. And it's been 2 or 3 weeks now. And these guys don't show any proper new green growth. Plants on the left (Gelato 45) are praying though.. The one on the right is finicky i know from previous grows (star pupil). And I know can have nitrogen issues with low leaf temp, and likes complete dryness between waterings (per the breeder) the small dark green clone (velvet bud) i know has had too much nitrogen from a few doses of Neptune's harvest fish/seaweed fertilizer.

The soil in the 2 large plants is organic/amended stuff. Been using it for years. My mother plant outside the tent is perfectly healthy and green, in a container that's like 2 gallons.. And gets ambient light from a cmh.. Temp in the tent during the day is 70, down to 60 at night. Hard to keep heat up with leds. (but again the plants outside the tent are fine) And if I turn off the small exhaust fan I feel not enough air exchange is occurring. I tried a few waterings with the Neptune's to see if they'd green back up but nope.. And doesn't make sense since the bottom growth is still lush green. They get tap water that i pour into the plastic containers and wick up through the fabric pots. Stems looks little odd. Dunno out of ideas. The bottom growth is still the original nice green color. But everything on top is crap.

Yeah they probably cold.

What is yoir ph and ec?

Back off that light right away and it will recover fast! its not too far along yet. even if you get temps up , back the lights off for a week days , right away!

This just a qb right. Like hlg board 200w so 400w.what space? I got 1600w in 4x8 now no co2 nothing fancy. I noticed your pots are on the floor. Whats the temp of the floor. The roots? Is it cold concrete underneath

Hm not sure, i should check. Tent is on concrete, then the pots are in plastic bins. What's an ideal floor temp? I do have some of that pink foam board insulation i could stick under the bins to keep the concrete from sucking heat away from them.

I was actually thinking of gettin a 4x8 next. 1600w woo boy sounds like you have some firepower in there. Any pics?

Yep, basically a quantum board 200w each. Its a 4x4 tent. And I have a 75w 3500k single Cob in the middle for some extra horsepower/spectrum when they need it.

Hm i never really keep track of weight because I'm lazy. But I should. I'll try one clone in a pot vs a couple to see what the final yield is.

Not sure thats the issue altogether but concrete gets cold and will cause roots to get cold where they dont like it sometimes. If you have the foam laying around itll help i usually just elevate the pots off floor with garage shelving from home depot or walmart and use milk crates somtimes. Whatever stops the cold contact where as you said that concrete will suck heat and stay cold.

Course.. Now I'm trying to figure out how to keep the tent warmer.. I have a space heater with a thermostat on it set to 80f. Buts it's a digital T-stat. So if i plug it into my timer strip. It'll reset after the lights go out. If i don't keep it on the timer. It'll just stay 80f without a nice 10f drop at night.. Hm


Whenever these plants hopefully bounce back. Will the current 70f daytime and 60f night temps be ideal for flower? I would think so, or are they going to be having nutrient issues again. Trying to dial this in unfinished space is tedious. I'm open to ideas.

I have the same issue. I now run an HPS 600 turned down to 400.with my leds To get my 80f day temps.

im not sure you will get the vigorous growth from 70 being the high. Leds like to be warmer then that. (the plants not the light) 75 will be much better but i would shoot for 80. if 80 is the best you can do for a low , then do it anyways. 70 being the high is just too low for led indoors.

i thought you were saying you could not get it any lower then 80 once you got it up that high.

If you can run 80 in the day and 65+ at night you will be fine anytime you start that. You can drop it lower towards the end of flower if you want to.
All i am saying is that you need to get the daytime temps up ASAP so you can figure out your issue.

Getogrow - Lol, Gettin the temps low is no problem, i turned off the small vent van, humidity is up to 75% and that keeps the temp up too with the heater. I'll have to set the fan on its own timer to only come on for a few minutes to exchange the air. Also going to ditch the QB leds until flower, and use the CMH to help with keeping temps.


Update -

With the heater (temps around 80f now) , only running the single 75w cob, adding some Epsom salt to a foliar spray, and some Neptune's harvest bloom, i have new rapid and greener growth. I think the heater combined with less light really sped this this recovery up. I'll post a pic tomorrow for yall.

im almost positive thats all that needs done.... slightly too much light and a bit too cold for optimim growth.

Thought I'd post an updated. They became happy and green again once i got temps up to 88f. I flowered on Feb 18th. And here we are now they started to yellow again. Not sure why. I've been doing regular feeds, i think the temps got low again around low 80s and too much light... The leds are kind of a pain. I never seemed to have the issues with the CMH only. Bottom flower/leaves look green. Top stuff yellowing. And some burned tips.

They need some nitrogen badly....i think your mix is running low or your not giving enough. The light is probably still a bit too intense but not that bad....give her some N.

Yeah I'd say given you are in soil and your temps are good... you need to feed them ASAP with a good strength food.

Switch to coco next grow and feed them every watering.... its way more simple
