Medium nute combo

Hello all i have successfully finished up my 5th grow and would like to make a change.

I am currently using Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Fox Farm Trio Nutes, and Gaia Green Bloom.

I have had okay results with this combo, but have had issues in flower because the combo of the Gaia Green and the FFOF make a hard crust on the top of the plant and make it difficult to water. And makes it like a sponge when saturated.

Additionally the FFOF gel up with solids no matter how long/hard i shake them.

Could any of you suggest a better medium, nute combo for full cycles.

Ive just about had it with what ive been using. And love the idea of ferts that all i have to do is ph and water.

Let me know!

J

I have just the thing for you sir! Check out this thread, oldy but goody, the tried and true KISS method https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=191645
I used it to great success in soil before, but I use it in Coco now. I run a lower PPM than those guys unless the girls get big. I switched back to it because I found out the nutes I was using were high in heavy metals, and MaxiBloom is free of arsenic and cadmium, per third party testing. Anyone who is using a bunch of nute bottles will find great success with a one or two part dry fertilizer regimen. I either grow this way, or in living super soil, but I usually save the organics for outside.

The link refers me to a forum menu, (probably because i am nor a user) but could you elaborate more on what this entails?

I also think my nutes are dirty, i get salt buildup and calc issues often
