Hello fellow growers! Need some
Help. My soil is 4 part Promix potting soil and 1 part warm castings. I’ve been watering with distilled water. I think I have ran into some pH problems. Point of my new leafs are light colour and started to have round tips.
Any thought on what is happening ? And what are my options?

Are you buying water or making it? The cheaper eBay distillers don’t always work right

I have not feed it any nutrients yet. I thought by having the warm casting it would be enough nutrients to feed.should I bring giving it nutrients? I buy my distilled water. My tap water is horrible here.
I slurry tested my soil the pH was 6. You think it’s just not getting enough nutrients?

When I make soil it’s 1 part peat moss 1 part compost and 1 part aeration then you add amendments. Worm poop is great but you need air and amendments. Or is perlite already in promix?

No I did not add any of that into my soil. I’m a noob at all of this.I bought the General Hydroponic flora nutrients. How should I go about nutrients in veg stage?

When I make soil it’s 1 part peat moss 1 part compost and 1 part aeration then you add amendments. Worm poop is great but you need air and amendments. Or is perlite already in promix?

There is already perlite in pro mix

I’d probably brew compost tea and see what happens. Maybe try a different water like herbs and suds suggested.

Your plants don’t get deficiency’s? From having your pH to high?

Not to speak for anyone, the amendments would buffer ph in a good soil, lime or oyster buffer ph and mycorrhiza helps get them what they need. Search cootz mix or go on buildasoil and read through the soil mixes, they tell you what you need. When you start using the bottled nutrients make sure you water until you have run off and then get it out of the saucer or your plants will soak the run off up and fuck up the ph.

Make sure you do not use nutrients at full strength, use 1/4 to 1/2 strength to see how plants respond. Nutrient companies always overshoot what is needed.

I mixed a seedling nutrient dose. I’ll feed tomorrow and see how the plant reacts. In my research tonight if found out when using distilled water you should ya cal-Mag with every watering. No my guess the plant was lacking cal or mag maybe both.

I also adjusted my light. Could of been a little to close. I’m 20” from plant

Quick question how far should my light be from the top of my plant in veg ? Befour I moved it up it was around 17’’. Gave her first dose of nutrients fingers crossed all of this makes her happy again.
