Sulfur?

Super skunk from ILGM, Indoor, under LED, watered with top drip (blumats) irrigation, now growing in 7 gal fabric pot “supersoil” that is very, very high in magnesium, pretty high in N, and relatively high soluble salts.

Day Temps are 78-80 (leaf temps around 76). Humidity is about 55% during the day. Night temps are 68-71 with RH about 53%

It’s day 1 of flower and they have been in current soil for about 2 weeks. These pics taken about 1 week after transplant. Didn’t seem to improve on own.

To me, it seems to resemble sulfur deficiency - but I don’t really have enough experience. With so much Mg in the soil I have a hard time believing it a Mag deficiency even though some plant symptoms I’ve noticed resemble Mag deficiency.

Thinking S because of Yellowing tips of new growth. Yellowing margins. Yellowing starting at tip and moving towards base of leaf. New growth pale overall. Cupped leaves. interveinal chlorosis...

I gave it a foliar of Potassium Sulfate and Potassium Silicate. It seemed to improve the look of the leaves during the 12 hours between lights off and lights on. But that could just be my imagination. They still look more pale than they did a week ago in the photos.

What y’all think? Sulfur? I’ll load them up with gypsum.

Or What else you think it might be?

Here is a pic from today. After foliar feeding last night. Not sure if the difference in light intensity messes with the appearance of leaf color. This pic was taken under higher PAR / lumens as I’m now in flower.

MGR2 is what I’m going in now. It’s not great, but it’s what I had available at the time.
pH of soil is around 6.1
Water pH is 7.5, but I usually bring it down to 6.5-6.7

check your runoff, might surprise you, ppm might be sky high

I know it will be. And no need to check runoff, that’s what a saturated paste test tells you. 2100 ppm soluble salts. It shows exactly what is in the soil water solution.

People can be successful with soluble salts near 3000 ppm in organic soil. It depends on what it is. Na is bad. Cannabis thrives in sulfate. Ca won’t hurt anything...

You are suggesting a lock out issue?
 
deficiencies of Micros are pretty rare (usually). it's more than likely the Big 5: NPKCaMg. and deficiencies are often caused by overfeeding and nute lockout.

Probably a lockout issue, after flush lower ph to 5.8 it might help as a few nutes are absorbed at around 5.5 ish. I hope this helps. Goodluck! Btw I lower ph to 5 or 4.5 sometimes just for a treat for the girls, Never a bad reaction but usually 6.2 is my ph. Give or take.
 
What lights are you using?

I’ve got 2 Viparspectras (P-1500 and X-1500 or something) and a 100 watt Phlizon or something. The viparspectra are only at 50-75% so I’m probably running 300Watts or so in a 28” x 55” with the lights about 14” above canopy. I adjust to keep PAR under 1000 (more accurately I keep lux under 60,000 which equates to 1000 ppfd).

It looks like light burn to me but that's not a ton of power.
 
might want to raise those lights up a bit, like a 400 par to 600 per for veg. If feeding hard. You can flower at 600 par but might be airy buds. Might just be light stress.

I agree. I don't know much about how blurples work but that looks like textbook light burn. Sulfur deficiencies are pretty rare.
 
try to figure out your DLI, then you will have a better idea. Those p1500s look like real good lights for the price. Migro did a test on them, on YouTube, very good investment id say. Stronger than you'd think.

I got viparspectre mixed up with a shitty amazon blurple brand. I just looked up OPs light and they do seem to be an awesome light for the price. I'd for sure raise them up a bit. Those things should put out plenty of light to cause light burn.
