Im moving to an apartment building soon , so Im wondering, if I had absolutely no charcoal filter, would the smell reach the other apartments beside me, above me, below me?

i am currently in an apartment my self (miss the house :( ), and i am 4 weeks into flower on my 3 C3PO plants (about 4ft tall) and it doesn't smell that bad. i also share my central heating with them. but the air is always blowing in not out. so i would say it all depends on how many u flower at once......5 would probably be the max i would do so i dont attract any unwanted attention.

I plan on having 2 , 4x4 grow rooms, 1 for veg, one for flower, so it prolly wont have any more than 6 plants flowering at once.

without a charcoal filter or ozone generator. if you had say a 4 x 4 space in flower it would smell bad enough that the police could just roll there window down and follow the smell from the parking lot right to your front door

agreed. flowering this many in that large a space along with a seperate veg room in any apartment is a bad idea.

just gotta make sure youve got the cfm right and check your measuremnts. dryer ducting works great. you can buy the squirell fan seperate...just like the one in the fist link you posted and they have different sizes available for where the ducting attaches. google it

check ebay for those. should be able to get one alot cheaper than that. i always thought it was better to have the carbon after the fan so your forcing the "dirty air" through it. but honestly im guessing

Gonna have to agree here, you need a carbon scrubber/filter. 7 Plants in Full bloom for me and I left the Fan unplugged for a few hours by mistake after moving a bunch of shit around and ran some errands, came home mid day and it was stupid stanky before I even hit the door. Please save yourself some risks and get some Ozone or C-filter

just checked ebay, the same fan, 225 USD , not including shipping , and the fact that I can get the fan for the same amount of money but in canadian dollars here in canada.

hey man buy like a six inch muffin fan that you can attach to a cord to plug into the wall its like a total of 120$ for the two fans and the two cords but then to even control the sound attach the lights to a dimmer switch
