Thats shocking. Not hard to clean up after yourself.Fucking amateurs in the national park at Christmas Hills (Vic).
The cops even got photo's of the two guys.
40 plants with an estimated street value of $50K?!?!?!
The locals were more concerned about the litter than the plants......
Are your other dp,s going okUnfortunately, this DP is getting the chop today

It's going hermie on me & I can't keep on top of it & don't want pollen getting to anything else around it.
Only got one left out of the initial 6 that I popped. When I do the others, I'll take cuts, put them to flower & see if any of them go hermie & cull the main plants early, rather than waste resources on them. Are your other dp,s going ok
Sorry @jungle666 , I completely forgot about the other 4 DP's I have in the bush plot until I went to water it earlier. Are your other dp,s going ok
Kinda harsh.....Can't help but think of this song when dipshit dan speaks
Yeah that's roughly what I was paying at last joint with the grow but had a little 2k solar to save a few pennies. Its peanutsmy usage cost isnt bad. No solar, large home with 4 people and a decent sized shed, compressor etc. Small grow. Between $750 and $850 per 1/4 all year (wood fires)
Some treats. Easty is a ledgeI have mail woohoo!

I've had one for over 5 years as you need one with solar, running 7kw lights + aircons and fans... No issues. It does log your use though. Pay your bills on time no dramas, use enough power they send you a gift hamper. They don't want to lose their best customers.@jzs147. Have you had a notification for a smart meter install?
I had one a few weeks ago and opted out. Remote billing is nice but just don't trust them, they are pretty damn smart.
Umm.. an 18/6 and 12/12 light schedule stands out like dogs balls on a smart meter, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. Won't be looked at unless you don't pay your bill or police ask them to look at it.The meters can't tell what appliances are running unless they're connected to the local Wifi (those smart fridges on 5G that can tell you what's in the fridge & what to put on your shopping list.....)- they just send consumption & TOU data to the network. For instance, they can't tell whether you're running a pool filter or a 600W grow tent at 6am-9am.
I don't think the Police would waste time & resources on hunting for/prosecuting small-scale personal home-based grows. They're only interested in the big operations.
The power companies get tipped-off by the Police that a grow-house has been busted & they send-in a sparky to find the bypass (which is usual practice for such op's) & assess potential electricity usage for "revenue protection" purposes.
If you think about it, having a smart meter send data directly to the network actually INCREASES your security, as it removes the need for someone to attend the premises in person (except to have the meter installed &/or replaced if there's a fault with it). Old-style mechanical disc meters or MRIM's (Manual Read Interval Meters) require a person to actually attend the premises & read the meter by eye or with an optical probe.
Your rate of consumption won't change whether you have a dumb meter or a Smart one - if they haven't come after you yet, it's highly unlikely that they will after a Smart meter has been installed.
I know plenty of guys that run tool shops from their shed with Cnc equipment which use enough power to have 2-3 good sized grows going. Those machines can run for 18+ hours straight depending on the program, same thing with people have servers at their house or people running hps/mh shop lights in their sheds. It’s normal for People use a butt load of power sometimes, most grows wouldt be a drop In the ocean compared to most energy users. I don’t see smart metres busting people unless they’re bypassing those metres. They’ve been around here for years now and no issues from them.
Holy, that's a fair power bill there burnz must be pumping out some ganga to cover thatDepends on the size of the grow, most guys have nothing to worry about.. if you have a decent sized setup maybe avoid using standard 18/6 and 12/12 light schedule incase computers are set to look out for that. I just mix it up a bit and run 16/8 for veg and 11/13 for flower.
My bill says I'm in top 10% of electricity users in my area. I have a 5kw solar system and havnt put a drop back into the grid in a couple years now except for when I go on holidays. Usual bill is 3 - 3.5k every 3 months.
