I am a relatively new grower and I am looking for some advice on what is causing this issue of browning at the tips & edges of the leaves.......see attached pic.

Here is what I am growing etc........

Strain: Girl Scout Cookies
Medium: Coco Coir
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients (using at 75% of the recommended nutrient schedule)
Lights: Optic Slim 600H
Indoor grow tent 4ft x 4ft
Currently in week 6 of Flowering
Current EC.... 2.0-2.0GSC Pic 1.PNG
pH range 5.6-5.9

Any direction would be much appreciated

I use AN. I'm in soil. I use 100% of the feed sched. I noticed a little tip-burn on week 6 of Obama Kush. I stopped nutes and am flushing. You are week

I am in week 6 of Obama Kush. I noticed same thing. Mine is is an 8 week flower, so I am flushing a bit early. I'm in soil, though, so maybe just try water for a week in coco? Are you providing any cal-mag?

Not using Cal-Mag. I asked the Advanced Nutrients people about Cal Mag and they were very clear about not recommending that because of it is already covered in other AN that i am using and the addition of more Cal-Mag would have a negative effect.

Gotcha. I kind of patch my nutes together. Be careful, a lot of bottle nutes (especially doing a manufacturers whole "lineup,") are worthless, or unnecessary... stick to your core nutes. I don't use the "finishing flush" or "huge bloom nutes." I'm no expert, but mother nature needs assistance, not a wheelchair. Every grow is different.

Do you test ppm/tds? Runoff? Curious how much is left in the soil bed. Maybe try running 50% for a week? See how much the plant is taking up.

Are you using a Rhizome booster? I use Photosynthesis plus (microbe additive, fairly neutral, just smells like death) and it is like an amusement park for my roots.

Thanks for the reply. I dont use any of those Flawless finish / Bud Candy etc.......... overkill in my opinion and they are very expensive also. Funny that you mention EC / ppm & going to 50% ........... I followed the AN feed chart exactly but I am convinced that their feeding charts are questionable. My EC for 6th week of flower is 2.2-2.3 which is high but that's what AN recommends and my filtered water has a very low EC. I changed to 50% nuts this morning and will monitor.

Keep in mind also, those numbers are typically for hydro/dwc/aero. I'm not a soilless grower. Can't say much there. I measured my ppm to about 1040-1200 MAX. Again, I'm in soil...

The reason for that is, Cal-Mag products contain some nitrogen, and you generally don't want to add more nitrogen unless you calculate it into your feed schedule. I recommend using General Hydroponics CALiMAGic because it has very little nitrogen in it and is readily available at most hydroponic stores.
That said, a little bit of burn on the edges isn't a terrible thing. It means you're right on the edge of how much the plant(this can vary by strain, too) can handle at that stage of growth. You can always back down on how much nutrient you are adding, if you are concerned.

Thanks for the reply........... I just reduced the nutrient conc this morning so will monitor and see what happens.
